There is a twenty page review of the PNY GTX 780 XLR8 OC posted today at RealHardwareReviews. Overall it is a very positive review, head on over and check it out.

In a move we are sure that is going to cause more than one ripple in the marketplace PNY were not satisfied with only creating a 780 powerful enough that it can compete against the 780Ti’s they have also gone one better and given their all new GeForce GTX 780 XLR8 OC a price that is much, >much more palatable to consumers.

This just confirms my choice to buy a custom-cooled GTX 780 non-Ti (Gigabyte Windforce).

Mine clocks to 1054 base; I've seen 1100+ sustained in-game boost. ASIC quality (supposedly correlates with overclocking) is 72%. 1.188v, no higher than 65C.

Screw Titans and Ti cards!

You're supposed to use a soda can for scale.
As if the average PC enthusiast knows anything about bullet sizes...

The last PNY product I bought was a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra. Never gave me any problems, but I have read some CS horror stories in the last half decade. Does anyone have any recent experience with PNY's CS/RMA and are they decent and timely to work with?

That scared of bullets?

No, I just genuinely saw absolutely zero context for them having done so. It's like putting a banana next to something "for scale"... Like... "why?". They didn't mention them, or provide any explanation for putting them in the picture.

It's like if I took a bunch of shots of a GPU I was posting pics of and decided to have one single pic of the card with these guys surrounding it... No explanation... Just because...

GaK_45 is our top reviewer, as well as one of the Co-Owners of the site and is also a gun nut. The 45cal in his review photos are his signature hence the 45 in his name.

Sorry if that caused you any confusion. If you want a scale many can understand for the sheer size of the box, Think a large Pizza Hut Pizza box then stack another box on top and you got just over the size of the box this fine card comes in.

If you ever have any questions or concerns just PM me here or there and I will do my best to answer them.

Context given! Makes sense now :D Having never looked at any other reviews on the site and not knowing the reviewer likes guns, it just made no sense to me seeing bullets n' knives all over the place. Not that I imagine what I think about it really matters :p

That is indeed a large box for a GPU. Nice foam!

What's up with all the stock OC 780s using exactly 1006 MHz for a core clock? That's exactly what my Zotac AMP 780 is at stock. Makes me wonder if some companies are under umbrella ownership.

I've had a couple PNY cards in the past and never had a problem. Would buy again.

Wow, the price shot up to 660$ in Canada from 560$ around the time this review went up.

I got one of these from frys to try out before my classified came in. I was pleasantly surprised by its solid and sexy build. The black and gold really is nice. Plus it oced well although I didn't push it that hard
