Grand Theft Auto V

I hope it is a better port than the last effort but considering their track record I don't hold out any hope what so ever. I'll still play it (bastards).

I realized that it wasn't just the PC version that was shit, the console versions were just as horrible. I recently bought it on PS3 (I love GTA 4 even though it runs pretty badly) and it's pretty atrocious. The graphics are pretty damn bad, especially after I played GTA V. The performance is straight up terrible. Rockstar just had no idea how to code that game methinks.

The PC version of Max Payne 3 came out beautifully so all hope is not lost for the PC version of this.

Sounds like a glass half empty kind of guy

Dat soundtrack by HEALTH!

July 2012? First entry I found for anything PC.

I honestly don't even know if I will pick this up on PC after playing it on PS3. Probably in the bargain bin eventually, but I wasn't super impressed with the game in the first place.

I think mods can add a little bit, but I kind of agree. I enjoyed GTA 4 way more, even though it ran like poo. The story felt longer and somehow more enjoyable.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of Cops and Robber's in GTAO.
That was the best part of GTA4 multiplayer... I probably will not get this on release.

My biggest problem actually was GTAO. Seems they could have focused less on that and added more after the endgame to GTA V. I want to fucking do something with my billions. Why can't I buy more houses or garages!

I thought the heists were fantastic. I don't know how it could be done but if they could create a component for both offline and online where you could plot heists and execute them I think that could be something special.

I feel the same. I did enjoy it enough though to give in another shot at 1440p @ 60 fps. That PS3 resolution and frame rate is really what drove me away from the game. I don't see how console users stand that shit.

Yeah, the framerate got really bad sometimes on the PS3, I was surprised. Lots of texture pop-in and whatnot as well.

Me, either.

It was like getting a brand new game coming off the PS3 to the PC version.

^^ That tempts me to reinstall Part 4. If we can get nice mods like that for 5 then it could really end up being something to behold.

Was not impressed with GTA V on X360. The game ran like poop and anyone who thinks differently needs to get their head checked. It wasn't even running at 30 fps ffs.

Online leaks say this is heading out late March for the pee-cee.

I don't give a shit about anything other than a bit of modding, come at me ENB Ice enhancer. :D

Def buying it, considering how much I enjoyed every other GTA game under the sun. I really hope it'll be a better quality port than some of their past installments though.

This is a definite buy once its available, though I'd rather not pay full price.

Yeah, but that owes more to the limitations of the consoles than anything else I think. The game has plenty of scenery that have the potential to look beautiful on a PC. It's just the performance at the higher resolutions and FPS that may be the deciding factor.

I sure hope it comes out, but right now they are being extremely tight lipped about it.

If the performance and optimization of the port is anything up to the standard that Max Payne 3 was, GTA V for PC will be epic. Hoping they learnt their lesson with GTA IV.

About damn time!

I've been waiting for this. Avoided it on the consoles... I really want to play it properly.

Can't wait for this! Already beat it once on consoles and looking forward to playing it again without all the jaggies and fps dips. Hopefully they've had time to fix the turd that was the online component since last year.

The biggest problem with the "online component" was console kids. Lost interest pretty fast in the 360 version. Not that the PC version will necessarily all be upstanding and mature adults, but statistically speaking there'll be less hot pocket eating little shits in GTA Online for PC.

With Watch_Dogs, even as shitty as it can be sometimes, it's WAY better than GTA V in every aspect other than driving, really.

Sadly I don't really care much about GTA V on the PC anymore. Too little, too late.

while I am certainly glad to finally hear this be officially announced I would have loved to have heard something about Red Dead Redemption possibly coming to PC. Ive been teased with the windows compatibility listing.

Jesus you're right.
As happy as I am about GTA V, if they had shown a little teaser of RDR with the PC logo I literally would have jumped around my house screaming.

Imagine if they made a bunduru and released GTA V and RDR at the same time? I couldn't handle it.

QFT. GTA V on PC is nice, but a Fallout 4 announce, or a Red Dead title - either RDR for PC, or a sequel on any platform - and all other games that have been rumored/announced/previewed would've been mere whitenoise by comparison.

RDR is hands-down my desert island game.

Well the story for Watch Dogs currently seems worse (where I am, doubt it would get better), but I have to say I really prefer the city in Watch Dogs. It feels a lot more alive and there's a bunch to do, which is also why I'm still at the beginning of Act II.

I'll probably still give GTA V a shot when it comes down in price. Just exploring is hard for me on a console so after a while of playing normally I just started mainly doing missions (which were great) On PC I hope to fully explore Los Santos and just do more messing around in general.

BRACK FLIDAY BUNDARUUUU!!!!11

Anyway...I already beat GTA V on PS3 so I guess my motivation to get this is lower than some of you. Still, other than the SP missions, which were a lot of fun, the game didn't really offer much else that interested me.
