Do people really buy $2500 magic boxes to make their sound system better?

I know about Oxygen Free Cables and all that, but good grief, this is just pure quackery.

Acoustic Revive RTP-6 Ultimate Power Supply Box.

This is one exotic passive power distributor. There are brass carved out large foot, white are height adjustable.
Combination of 2017 Duralumin box and brass foot will eliminate both materials resonance frequency.

Eliminates noise and static electricity non-contact and non-magnetism
RTP-6 ultimate`s box is filled with Green carborundum, Tourmaline powder and natural quartz powder to eliminate noise and static electricity without no contact and non-magnetism
Most of power supply box uses series type noise filter
But series type filter transfers noise elements to heat by magnet which not only absorbs noise, it also absorbs important electrical energy
Also the magnetic body produces magnetic distortion by the noise absorption which adds a distorted feel and thinness to the sound
This is because an electromagnetic wave absorbent material itself is a strong magnetic body
Also parallel type noise filter or choke coil can not avoid loss in transmission energy
It eliminates noise buy it takes away feeling of restraint and energy feel from the sound
Green carborundum has no side effects because it non-magnetic body
It only absorbs electromagnetic wave noise which is produced from receptacles and internal wiring
Green carborundum is the only electromagnetic wave absorbent material which improves sound quality and S/N ratio
Also the Tourmaline powder releases negative ion and keep the amount static electricity very low
The natural quartz powder releases far infrared rays which has an surface activation effect. This leads to very realistic and sound filled with a feeling of throbbing pulse

The oxygen free cables are quackery, too.

If people with mental problems want to spend money on this, it doesn't bother me.

Sorry, I noticed that I implied that OF Cables were not quackery. This was inadvertent.

They are just a familiar form of quackery where as this was new to me and I would think that for the price, they could get someone to make a better stab at the pseudo science.

i wish i were rich, i'd fill my house with this stuff just to piss you guys off.

'look at all this amazing magical stuff i have, it works so much better than anything you plebeians can afford'

I forget where, but I once saw one of these so-called "audiophile grade" power conditioners listed on a site for several hundred dollars. The original price was bad enough, but the unit had an "ultimate" upgrade option listed for an extra $200. The only difference? The "ultimate" edition had its power cord's conductors individually wrapped in "audiophile grade" cotton.

I suppose my next upgrade should be to throw a cotton t-shirt on top of my amplifier stack.

lol for $2500 they can't even hire someone who speaks English to write the description.

I like this
There are brass carved out large foot, white are height adjustable.
Mostly because have not a clue what it means or says but I still laugh when I read it.

No sir, the cotton must be in the amplifier itself. Specifically, it must be installed between the heatsink and power transistors. ;) Of course, you need the cotton-wrapped wires as well.

I'm not sure if I'd like to see people fall for this because those who would fall for it deserve to be scammed, or if I'd like to see companies like this held to their advertising claims or face fines.

I swear that my speakers sound better when there's a bowl of nachos with hot cheese sitting somewhere near them.

Don't forget to "burn in" the nachos for at least 36 hours with pink noise first
