Silly because you'd miss out on plenty of great gaming experiences simply because of a control bias. While I agree most games are better suited to M&KB, there are simply a massive amount of games that are better suited to controller and are designed for them. Kingdoms of Amalur is one that immediately springs to mind as being a much more fluid and enjoyable experience with controller. Not to mention a ton of racing games.
Having the option of both controller and M&KB simply makes sense for any gamer.
Excellent surprise for the end of the week.. I know now what I will be doing this weekend
I know -- gonna have to figure out how to play GTA5 and SOC at the same time.
GTA V does not exist for me until PC version is announced.
I dunno.. that's a long time to wait for a very good game. And PC version may not every be announced.

Ditto, gonna wait. Not a fan of using a controller on my computer.
Early Access is open on Steam now.
If you don't have a controller or don't want to use one to play it, just wait for the official release later this year.
People on the Steam forums are saying that there is some kind of keyboard support if you can figure out the key mapping. No idea if its true or not, just passing along info.
BE WARNED!!! IF YOU DIE IT IS PERMANENT!!!
You can circumvent this by ALT+F4'ing RIGHT as you die or else the game will save and thus you are SCREWED! I was able to avoid this on the quickness with my main character (one that is very leveled up...ain't havin that shit I don't care if it's realistic/right or not!) and loaded the game back up and everything was fine.
Wow you guys...reallllllly liking this game. Just started building and fortifying my base (the church) and have just been going out and about looking for supplies and what not. Look for gun shops!

Whew! Either way, even if the ending or whatever sucks, the fun I've had from it so far is definitely worth $20. Has also been a 99% bug free game (only issue so far is the lady RIGHT next to the church that has all the ammo...can't talk to her, pressing "Y" doesn't work) and is EVERYTHING I could want from a zombie survival game. DayZ may be more realistic but State of Decay definitely takes the cake in the "Fun Department".
What happens if everyone dies? Perma-game over?
Yep, game deletes itself from the harddrive/ssd and flags the game key as being used up/not usable anymore. I hope this doesn't catch on in other games. Don't want to pay more than once for one game.
Is this a bug or by design?
It's a gullibility test

That's one of the MAIN points of the game. The game doesn't "end" if you die, you aren't meant to be "this character" but instead it is focused on the group aspect of surviving.
If the character you are controlling dies you will take over as another character in your group who was on good terms with your other character (IE "friendly" in their status, which you get from doing missions with/helping them).
If you just reload every single time someone dies you are kind of missing out on a point of the game.
