I'm not sure which is worse, selling an old (blank) Wikileaks server on eBay for $33,000 or the fact that some teenager bought it using his dad's account.

The winning bid was $33,000. But according to Bahnhof CEO John Karlung, soon after the auction closed this morning, he got a message from the buyer, saying he wants to back out of the deal. His son bought the item without his knowledge or permission.

Jeebus...I could see spending money on an actual antique but $33,000 on outdated server hardware? That's just plain ignorance.

Of course the buyer would want to back out. Why is this guy even auctioning this crap? Because there are gullible people, like this stupid kid, that would spend money on bs.

Pretty lax of the dad allowing his eBay password to be accessed by his son.. maybe the dad should be kicked instead just for that!!

And this is why when you have kids you set up separate user accounts on your computer and make sure your account is password protected.

Some people, mostly the very young, have this weird cult like obsession with wikileaks.

And those who would bid on a used wikileaks server as if it were some actual item of value obviously weren't beaten enough as children.

This rebellious attitude is what we get when we don't allow kids to work until a certain age.
