So as the title states, I want to hear about the worst game you have ever played.

For me it would have to be "Perfect Weapon" for PSX.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps/572512-perfect-weapon/reviews/review-149348
I still remember reading about this game in a magazine
and getting it on release date with a good friend.
The game was so bad that I think I playes it for 30 mins
and barely if ever touched it again.
It was so bad I couldnt even defend it against
my friend calling it the worst game ever.
Even until this day I can not find a worst game.

My buddy still makes fun of my for getting this game
and its been over a decade.

PC - Console - Board - Card - Tablet - Phone doesnt matter I want to hear about it.

Probably Revolution X, but it was one of those instances where I was too young to realize how crappy it was.

Define worst. Worst gameplay? Worst fubar'd buggy coding? Worst storyline? Worst use of available tech?

There's lots of ways a game can strive to hit new levels of worst-ness. Most of the games ranked as worst by gaming websites etc are little heard of.

Just your general experience with a really bad game.
Perfect Weapon has nice graphics for the time.
Too bad thats all it had going for it and it stuck with
me this long. I would just sit there sometimes 10 years later
and think how bad that game was.

In my book thats the worst game ever made.

Xbox Live Indie games. Pick one at random, and you're bound to find a shitty one 75% to 89% of the time.

Ok I need to check this game out.
So far this is winning.

What was so bad about this game?
or is that the wrong question to ask?..lol

I've never personally played it, but it's so bad that even the Angry Video Game Nerd won't talk about it and go through great lengths to avoid it. So that says a lot to me. lol

It's the plot of his upcoming movie. ;)

seems people either love or hate the Bioshock games, I love them my self. Doesn't seem to be much middle ground between love and hate for them.

Well to me it was not so much that the game it self was garbage it was just that it was SUCH a step back in every way from the first Bioshock. Half of Infinite was mindless killing for no reason other than to fill some time in and make the game longer, lots of stuff from Bioshock was missing, etc, etc.

So I loved the first Bioshock, one of my favorites...so with Infinite I KNEW it was going to amazing...then I played it, 8 hours later after I beat it I was just totally disappointed.

Story was decent (albeit a little unoriginal) but it didn't fall in line with the Bioshock universe I thought and everything else about the game was bad to mediocre to OK at best.

So yeah...Infinite is my worst game overall...there have been worse in certain areas but as a whole...yeah...Infinite takes the cake.

I owned E.T. for Atari :D

This.

But you should and could put in stipulations like modern'ish games or popular games that sucked.

But nothing beats E.T. on Atari.

two of my favorite games series have been killed.

Lunar Dragon Song and Shining Tears are both extremely piss poor games with amazing predecessors.

Superman 64?

Okay, I can see that you were disappointed. But worst game ever? I would have a hard time saying that any game that at least the designers put some form of planning and designing into as the worst game ever. I know it's an opinion, so feel free to keep yours, but it seems a bit unfair in this case.

Bioshock Infinite. God I hated that game...so much fail.

Meh even Bioshock didn't fall as hard on it's face as SimCity5.

I don't think any game in the last ten years apart from maybe Duke Nukem Forever was as hyped and had people as excited....and was such a colossal flop of shitty untested code, uninspired features, and corporate name-recognition gravy train riding. And further was never apologized for, and is still unfixed and is still being sold.

Well that's why I say it's MY worst game ever. All the responses here are just opinion of course.

Worst game I played was Action 52 for NES. Horrible pile of shit. Worst game I've ever owned was Beast Wars: Transformers for the PSX. In short - it's a shooter that punishes you for shooting.

ET is the record holder for biggest flop ever.

The Atari video game burial was a mass burial of unsold video game cartridges, consoles, and computers in a New Mexico landfill site, undertaken by American video game and home computer company Atari, Inc. in 1983. The goods disposed of through the burial are generally believed to have been several million copies of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, a game which had become one of the biggest commercial failures in video gaming and is often cited as one of the worst video games released;

I didn't own it, but I remember renting Friday the 13th for the NES. I probably played for like 30 minutes and that was enough. Horrible game.

what I loved that game. Though I was 8 and loved the movies.

for me,there are a few that are about equal.

Terminator salvation was one of the worst games I have ever played, such a boring game with a boring plot.

dino crisis 3,I dont even know what was going on in the game besides that it was dino's in space. cause I only played about 20 minutes and could not handle any more than that.

dead rising on the wii,I think this was just the horrible graphics,I just couldn't handle looking at the game long enough to get into it.

Did you see the action figure based on the NES video game. Must admit I wanted it.

Superman 64?
(If you want to see all these bad worst of the worst games... just check out Angry Video Game Nerd...)

I haven't played it myself but Thor (based on movie) is supposedly the next gen equivalent of Superman 64.

Hellgate: London, which made you pay retail price for a barely alpha release, or Star Wars Galaxies, where logging in was like punching in a time card to go to work on your harvesters and their annoying ever-shifting resources. Daikatana was pretty bad for the amount of hype, too. Oh and Outpost, biggest disappointment ever. So unfinished there was stuff in the final manual that wasn't actually in the game.

Festers Quest.
and somewhere near that one, Steel Diver.

Bleh, what shit.

lol, my brother got a 3DS and Steel Diver, and sold it after a few months because the game was crap. Even at launch, there were other games for it that were better.

It was a nice tech demo on the DS, but it didn't need to be a full game.

I watched a preview of SuperMan 64 and Ohhh myyy.
Im glad I never had the chance to play that game.
Its superman how can you F up a game so bad.

E.T - Im afraid to look.

I must add a Pirate Game which was a really great Idea. Too bad they never finished it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_Pirates:_Caribbean_Tales
Age of Pirates!

The game was so buggy that saved games would get corrupt.
After purchasing island or taking them over the control system
for the town was bugged, so even though its your town
and you should be able to do great things. You cant because its bugged.
Even the fighting and boarding of ships which was a really fun part of the game.
Looks like it was sold to Atari and Atari just never patched it.
If you want to enjoy this game you need a ton of mods.
Frustrating gaming experience.

I think I may be one of the few here to actually play Superman 64. I rented it, and I was bored. Eh, technically it's playable, but it is really bad. I actually think Big Rig Racing was worse, because that game wasn't just bad, it was bad AND broken. Superman 64 was just bad.

My worst experience purchasing a game was Nascar 2011: The Game. Eutechnyx took over the Nascar franchise and the preview videos/screenshots looked great. After preordering the game it was completely broken. You had no control over your car starting a race and cars would start spinning out and crashing int he wall, yellow flags were random and broken, pitting didn't work, game was completely broken. Online multiplayer lobbies worked 10% of the time, but the 10% of the time they did work everyone started out crashing and spinning. If you got lucky and actually started online normally
\everyone rubberbanded.

I have definitely played worse games than this, such as big rigs, but this was the worst compared to the expectations and previews provided. Similar to Aliens Colonial Marines.

Almost 40 posts and no mention of Daikatana?

I am disappoint.

EDIT: Never mind, post 34 mentioned it...still took far too long. :p

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes of the Lance (NES)
Fugly, obtuse, unfinished, and unpolished. And, above all, not fun.
