Sony Announces 33 Game Launch Line-Up for PS 4

Sony, not one to be outdone by Microsoft, didn’t take too long yesterday to fire back at their Xbox Live announcement with one of their own, announcing their 33 game line-up for the remainder of this year for the PlayStation 4
 
The number of games coming out for the PS3/XB1 this year that I can't get on PC/PS3 that I want..

0...


Will plan on picking up the systems sometime next year when the good games actually start coming out.
 
I never imagined a console release could be so unexciting.
 
So these are all launch titles, while the 50 game list XBO posted are titles that are announced for the console. Which doesn't mean they'll be available at launch or even by the end of the year. Correct?
 
This is actually lower than I would have been expecting. Sony might not be doing so bad on pre-orders if MS just broke 1 million.

You got it backwards, Sony broke 1 million, I haven't heard anything about how Microsoft is doing but the information available suggests they're doing quite a bit worse.

Where did you see that MS broke 1 million? 1 million what?
 
Yeah like others I will be waiting a little bit. No need to run out at launch and throw down $60 each for a couple games. I like sub $30 used games!
 
From what I can see here, it looks like Microsoft is launching REAL games while Sony is launching a bunch of digital only fluff.
 
No NHL kinda sucks but I'll get Fifa, NFL and see if NBA Live is any good and get NBA 2K14 if not (consoles are primarily a social thing with friends for me). Obviously I could get those for an existing console but hurrah for an appeal to novelty (and hopefully graphics that aren't circa 2008 PC)

Otherwise the only game I'd have gotten would be Watch Dogs, which is definitely a PC purchase for me.

Still trying hard to resist the XBox though, I want to vote with my wallet this time to show MS that it wasn't cool (even if the 180 has fixed most of it it shows intent which I don't want to support commercially), but I really love Forza :(

Let's just hope it's not a 3 or 4 year wait for Gran Turismo this time. I prefer Forza but if GT6 was coming out on PS4 as well then I wouldn't have any dissonance at all.

I read somewhere that GT6 was either going to be on PS4 or we wouldn't have to wait long for a GT on PS4....I can't remember which it was. If I had to guess, it would be the former.

Im pretty sure that GT6 is coming out for PS3 later this year and NOT PS4.

IDK, I was pretty unexcited for the 360/PS3 release. This gen I'm a tiny bit more excited.

You are right. Dec 6th GT6 comes out for PS3.

Pretty much this. Maybe when Final Fantasy comes out I'll pick one up. Infamous looks decent, but not a system seller for me. I would like to see more info on Deep Down though.

Yeah, no official announcement has been made for a PS4 version, but Kazunori Yamauchi (president Polyphony Digital) has said “We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind, but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”

I bet they're working on it they just won't come out and say it at the dawn of PS3 release.. They do want to sell GT6. Once they sell couple of mil they will announce something at E3 '14 or '15

These must be troll posts since it clearly listed the launch titles for XB1 on that site, and clearly listed that XB1 also released their launch games first, which was also a headline on this site. In reality, it looks like MS is coming out with more real launch titles at 20, whereas Sony looks like they have 15. The digital downloads only are just bs extra crap.

The 50 game announcement by MS was just detailing the games they currently have in production and slated to release for XB1.

There are at least 2 "extra crap" aka digital download in that 20 XB1 titles. Peggle 2 and Loco-something.

Must suck to only own 1 gaming platform, apparently so much so that one has to render a feeble insult to attempt to feel better.

So glad I can afford to own consoles, PC's and handhelds so i can take advantage of great games no matter which platform they come out on.

ONe platform to bring them all, and bind them in darkness.

The only real difference between PC and console is going to be a choice of a black box or a computer case. Except PC is more flexible and can do more things besides play games. Don't be shocked that people will create a sort of emulator to run Xbox One or PS4 games on a PC. It wouldn't take much work. It's a matter of dealing with Sony's and Microsoft's legal department.
 
no one mentioned that mine craft is a launch title for the ps4 as well as being released on the vita and ps3, several other sites have reported this.

I'll be shocked since it hasnt been done for the current generation.

Own em all, then i dont have to argue about which one is better. Just LOL at the poor people who have to take sides because they have to make a choice.

Hasn't been done with 360 and PS3 due to mutli-core emulation being a total bitch on CPUs. You'd need like a computer from 10 years into the future to fully emulate that hardware, and be playable.

With the PS4 and Xbone, they're both X86. You don't really need to emulate the hardware, just the software.

I'm tempted to get the xbox 1 only for Forza. That's it. I need to knock the dust of this Fanatec set up

Neither, flip them both on Ebay for $1000 to the suckers who can't live life without it in the first week. Turn around, but them both again a few weeks later and pocket $1000.
