Looking for a new graphic card thats around 300... that can run the upcoming battlefield 4 game (I know it doesnt come out till October but I need a new graphic card now anyways)

I was hoping you guys have some recommendations!

I am currently gaming on a 1920x1080 Resolution. I would love to have high settings enabled!

What are your full system specs? Personally I want to get that sapphire 7870 ghz edition for $175 after rebate plus 3 games. That would leave $120 for you to upgrade something else if that was necessary. Otherwise ive been seeing 7950's for around $260

Easy, get a used 7970 off craigslist.

As long as you are in a well enough large area.

I see them here in Kansas City for $300 all the time, some hardly even used.

My vote goes for the 7950. You can find some deals every now and then for ~$260 after rebate. It also come with some nice bundled games, not to mention oc like mad!

If you like nvidia, I'd recommend the 660ti.

word on the street is that it will be optimized for AMD CPU/GPUs

If that's the main game you play, then go for the highest end card you can get.

Seems like the 8 series cards are on the way too so since BF4 is a few months off, it might be worth seeing what happens.

if you look for deals then you can probably find one brand new for not too much more and have the game bundle. I personally would never touch a used gpu unless I knew how the card was treated.

Picked up a 7970 GE used w/ warranty left for $280.

Id look for a deal on a 7970 and grab that. Itll smoke the 760.

Yup. Amd should update their never settle bundle really soon. I'd probably wait for that as well, if you're not in a hurry.

Might just as well wait untill BF4 is released. My guess is that it's not gonna run smooth with all the nice eyecandy at a good resolution for a few years.

Unless you count yourself in the camp that sees 30 fps as smooth.

I still remember the upgrade when I replaced my 6600 GT with a 7800 GT, even with the Athlon 3000 Venice, in playing BF2.

Like Crysis 3, BF4 will come bundled with a card, probably AMD. Wait, buy, kill 2 birds with one stone.

This is what I would recommend for you, plenty of good (still in warranty) hardware out there that you can get used. Especially in the trade forum here on [H]. A lot of people go through a lot of trouble to maintain their cards cool/and in operation temps. so that they can sell for their next upgrade.

Now is the time, go find a deal!

I'm pretty sure AMD are gonna have some rather enticing deals along with the release of BF4, if you're not in a hurry, I'd aim for that timeframe...
