E3 Thread : Post your links and update to the minute info.

So since you can't sell/trade digital games what do you think are the chances that publishers will release their games ONLY for digital. Kinda hard to resell a game if there is no physical copy.

To me this might become an issue...

So the video on Sony's official Youtube channel that says PSN+ is required for multiplayer still isn't enough clarification?

Haven't seen that, but will dig around now.

Hey, if they do it, OK; I have no issue giving Sony grief for charging for online play no different than Microsoft. I'll just stick with the free access and buy all my multiplayer stuff on PC (if available). No big deal to me really....it'd be nice to have it stay free on Ps4, but if they change that, so be it. IMHO they still won out on all the other stuff that they're [still] not doing. ;)

My scorecard so far

Sony
Win price
Win used games

Xbox
Win games
Win complete features other than gaming I.E. twitch

Both get a buy from me
I got number one Xbox one pre order at my local GameStop
And I'll be their in the morning for PS4

Doesn't seem like any ones commented yet but the PS4, which at the moment seems to have the powerful internals and thus generate more heat, seems to have no vents (there probably is some vents though) whereas the Xbox One has an insane amount of venting?

The recessed USB and drive could be a bit annoying in usage :p

I guess you didn't see any photos of the back of it.

How did you score Microsoft over Sony on games? I'm not challenging you or trying to be a wang....genuinely curious.

Curious here as well. Sony seems to be catering to a wider audience. Titanfall could be the next Bulletstorm for all we know...

My bad on the xbl pricing. Like I said I never owned either of this gen's consoles, and I must have misheard that xbl was 15 a month for gold.

My bad.

My bad.

It IS $15 a month if you sign up for the Live subscription to get a 360 for a lower price.

This would be the logical next step to lock it in. I would think that at some point they would make digital downloads like $5-10 cheaper than physical copies to attract people to it... Just thinking out loud.

Many of the Xbone games will come to PC except for stuff like Halo. No need to spend $499 to play the console version of the games.
On the other hand, the PS exclusives will never come to PC.

Watch both Xbox had better exclusives Sony showed a lot of multi platform games.

Seriously Killer Instinct, RYSE,Forza(my preferred driving console game) just to name a few can't forget sunset overdrive and project spark just looked real fun.

Sony was good to but most of their stuff was cross platform. And dammit I can't believe AC4 froze! And elder scrolls online that's a PC play for me.

Gotcha. None of those games you mentioned did anything for me, and I don't value exclusivity for the sake of it.

Do we know if FF15 and KH3 are going to be PS4 only?

I was more interested in the exclusives Microsoft showed off (Forza, Quantum Break, Halo 5, Crimson Dragon and Dead Rising 3), but Sony's ending was great.

So, I've got pre-orders on both with Amazon, just to be prepared. I will own both consoles at some point, but I'll probably only keep one pre-order. If I'm honest, it'll probably be the Xbox.

As I said earlier, I'll be buying all my games digitally. Being able to trade, resell, or whatever simply doesn't matter to me. So, at least for me, this is almost a nod in the Xbox's favor. With that system if I found a game discounted at retail, I could buy it and tie it digitally to my console. I've gotten some great deals in Steam this way, so the same logic applying to a console is just fine with me. With Sony, it seems as though if I want it digitally, my only option is PSN.

Ultimately, games are what's going to matter most. Anything that's been announced recently that will be on PC, that's where I'll have it, save for a few exceptions. Call of Duty and Titanfall I'd consider buying on a console if that's what my friends were playing. Dragon Age and Diablo 3 also, as I prefer how those games play with a controller... but both of those will be multi-platform.

For Sony, the only exclusive announced that I really have to have is Kingdom Hearts 3... and I don't need the system at launch for that. Xbox has Forza 5, and I really want that. So I'll probably end up with the Xbox and that'll be my console fix. I'll get the PS4 6-months into the game when more exclusives start trickling in.

I doubt it. FF13 was on 360 as well, so I don't think they'll go back to being a PS exclusive now.

This is a perfect summary and at 399 they got me day one instead of after the new year.

I think thermals have come a long way and I trust Sony's engineers. I'm also pretty sure the vents are at the back and there might be some stuff towards the front/sides we can't see that sucks air in. Hidden in the slits perhaps.

I'm just curious from a design perspective. I also wasn't able to find any higher res pictures of the back yet.

I think some people took this as negative commentary towards the PS4

I actually wonder if the Xbox One is way over vented (which I thought was the impression I was giving with how I wrote that). When I first saw it I actually wondering whether or not dust is going to be an issue in that particular case. I'm not sure if I recall them mentioned if they are they filtered?

I just had a thought about Xbox one. I'm willing to bet the 500gb internal drive since not user serviceable is a 3.5 drive not a 2.5 since it will do twitch gameplay video that would be much more reliable.

what the hell happend to killer instinct? My memories are destroyed, they made jago and sabrewolf look like idiots.

Um. Xbox had a bunch of multi plat as well, just because they didn't state it. Killer Instinct is a bastardization of the series, so thats a no-go for me as a HUGE fighting game fan.

FORZA is a huge meh.

Sony won on all counts today. Microsoft had an OK showing though, props for them trying.

Ok, I see on the "borrow games" vid where the small print says "PSN account and PS+ subscription required for multiplayer".

Given the choice between that requirement vs. always on/no used games/forced Kinect...I'd rather have to pay for online play (and not).

KH3 and FFXV won't be only for PS4. No way Square would be that dumb even if the XBone is disappoint.

Don't forget the awesome perks of PS Plus, xbox is just copying now with the "free games". I can't believe people used to pay for XBL and get nothing in return (online service was good, but the free PSN was not a game breaker by any means).

Ive been wondering. Since the PS4 and Xbox One share the same arch other than ram and the PS4 has more grunt are any developers outside of first party exclusives such as Dice etc going develop games take advantage of the what 50% extra power that the PS4 has over the Xbox One? I mean the other thing is the could go the lazy way and have it look exactly the same to save money. But I am pretty sure exclusives on the PS4 will look absolutely stunning compared to Xbox one. As more exclusives on the PS3 looked better to me than anything on Xbox 360.

Gotta love the sith mentality of many console gamers.

I like both and for different reasons.
