Before I break the shrink wrap on Xenoblade Chronicles I am trying to find out if its gameplay resembles MMORPG questing. I quit WoW after 6 years because I came to despise questing and Pandaria was ramming dailies down my throat.

Are there any other similarities between XC and say WoW?

Thanks! :)

That game is one of the best games Ive ever played. The questing does become a bit repetitive but they are SIDE QUESTS. They are not required what so ever.

If you don't play this game you will be missing out on one of the best RPG's in a long ass time.

combat is definitely inspired by mmo's and the side quests can be just as repetitive, but the world building and exploration is much better. the whole thing feels much more cohesive than something like wow.

absolutely worth playing even if you ignore everything but the main campaign.

I keep debating this myself with my copy. With the ebay price for sealed copies, I am going to really have to want to play it to break that seal.

That was the source of my hesitation as well. I still haven't opened mine yet and I bought my first Tales of game this morning for the PS3. I could almost get enough for my copy of Xenoblade to fund my 3DS XL purchase. LIFE IS HARD!!!!! :D
