Logitech mice users what is your DPI set at for normal desktop use?

Currently mine is set at 3050 but whenever I go up higher it seems that it's harder to control the mouse down to specific/precise movements like getting it into a small box such as the x/close on browser windows.
 
For standard use (and also gaming) I prefer 1800. I use a G400, which has a max of 3600, but that setting is too high for my liking. 1800 is perfect for me. Also, screen size and resolution are important when talking about DPI. I'm using a 23in set at 1920x1080.
 
I have a G700s and use 1200 dpi for desktop and some games. It seems to be the perfect sensitivity for traversing the vertical length of a monitor without actually having to move wrist or arm, I just need to stretch my fingers out.
For unreal engine 3 games I set the sensitivity to 1 using the console and use 7200 DPI.
 
800-1400dpi for x axis and y axis 200 dpi higher. For fps games.

For other stuff 3200dpi.

Logi G9.
 
800 for desktop use on a 1080p monitor. - g9x or corsair m60 depending on the day
400 with 7/11 on a 1280x800 monitor at work - IME 3.0

400-800 in game depending on game.

Remember, DPI does NOT increase precision, it just moves your cursor more pixels on screen per the distance you move on the mouse pad. AKA it is a speed control and nothing more.

Polling rate makes your mouse more precise by making it read the mouse pad more times per second.

You are right that D.P.I./C.P.I. are sensitivity of a mouse and nothing more than that.

However, polling rate is independent of a sensor's performance; increasing it might make the mouse more responsive, but it would not effect the sensor, just the rate at which the M.C.U.'s data would be transferred via U.S.B.

On the desktop I use 800 DPI (the default "middle" option) on my G5 rev 2 @ 1080p (Windows sensitivity at default/6 and 'Enhance pointer precision' off). Anything higher and I tend to overshoot buttons.

1.4 ingame (CS 1.6, CS:GO, TF2)
 
My G9x is set at 5700dpi and I don't ever step it down unless I'm using gimp and then I drop it to 1600. This is on a 23" 1080p screen.

Nobody can ever use my mouse, unless I turn it down.
 
I'm using at 1600 dpi and not using any mouse pad. I got a wooden table with perfect surface. Just perfect
 
wow, i feel old school .... 800 DPI all around here, gaming, desktop whatever (3x 24" monitors) .... maybe i should try a bit higher se if productivity increases...
 
I usually set my g9x at 5700 for desktop(3600x1920) and 3200 for fps games like bf3.
