Post Your Workstations 2013

Makeroflostsouls nice craftsman bench...need to get one of this...but here in Portugal it's not so commun in the market...:rolleyes:

Thanks.. The bench is actually Kobalt. Lowes had it on killer sale for 165 I believe. Got the Craftsman chair because it matched the black. Kobalt one was an ugly blue.

My not so much spectacular corner...

Thanks guys :)

As for the 911 on the wall - I googled 911 blueprints and found one I liked, used beamer to project the picture on the wall and traced it with a black marker ;)

Is that the same TV cable going in and out in the same socket? :D

Yeah for whatever reason the cable coming out the other side (living room) doesn't work unless it's looped like this. There are also several light switches that don't do anything, and the living room doesn't have a switched outlet. I like the new apartment but I think the electrician was drunk when he wired it.

I bet the original reason for that coax connection is that they meant to put a splitter there and feed the other side. That is just laziness on the part of the installer. :mad::mad::mad:

When I wired my parents' house I made homeruns from every room to a utility closet along with all phone and network wiring.

Same mess as last year, except no more desk phone (wireless only!) and TV and red IKEA thing were added. Oh and I bought a bottle of olives today.

smitty, can i ask you something? what bright white light in your room are you using?

Is that a GFI outlet? Is your workstation is a bathroom!!??

Yeah, I work from home, and I have major IBS :)

My workstation is actually in the corner of our family room. Our family room used to be a one car garage. When it was a garage, the area was used for tool storage and as a work bench. Hence the GFI outlet.

Man now you put that idea in my head.......what if....what if I built a gaming machine for the bathroom....for that much needed throne room fragging!

Hey someone noticed the lighting... it's not actually lighting. It's post processing on the photo I took. It was an HDR bracket. The lighting in my room is pretty bright combined with all white walls (albeit decorations on the walls...)

Overall pictures of my room and apartment can be found here. Again, they are all HDR so they look weird. And the 8mm fisheye lens doesn't help.

@thaddeus.cto

Is that Rainmeter on your desktop? If so, which skin? It looks great.

I totally missed your post! Yes, it is rainmeter. I'm using the Omnimo skin with a custom layout. It is the best skin I've used so far. I've tried replacing it to change it up, but I always come back to this one.

I always post my home setup but decided to mix it up a little;

My actual workstation

Old workstation, now belongs to one of my technicians

Our older Omniclone Units, these things are awesome for making large quantity copies,
hopefully soon to be replaced by some network enabled beauties.

@ board2death986

Well, my "Workstation" of my todays workday. 80.000€ (without Software) Server pr0n lol

3x R620 (2x xeon eight core 2.6ghz, 64gb ram), 1x r720 (1x eight core xeons, 16gb ram, 2x 500gb sata as system, 6x 2tb sata), 1x powervault (12x 600gb 15k sas) and stuff. To this come some switches. Total new setup etc.

Your workstation reminds me of when I was a kid and got Legos; they would always have what it was -supposed- to look like on the front, but then there was all of the weird crazy stuff you could build on the back. That's basically what you did to the Jerker.
