Best Buy $50 off $100, 10% off Open Box

So they had this coupon posted on their website? Does anyone know where?

SD idiots always ruin shit for normal people. Buncha selfish cheap assholes over there.

the problem is there are two levels of slickdealers.

those who always take proper advantage of a good deal, with basic ethical guidelines.

those that fuck it over for everyone else and basically make it their life's work to do so (the guy with 1600 dollars in amazon gift cards for 800 guy).

sharing a deal and jumping on it is reasonable, even if you use it to make a profit yourself. going overboard on something that is already sketchy (i fully agree that gift cards on this promo was shady, and should have been excluded) is where the line needs drawn.

I am a slickdealer, but I always adhere to honor among thieves so to speak. i know how it feels to have the deal ruined for me so i try to avoid screwing the other dealhunters when i can.

that said, due to the end date i have a claim in with the BBB, we'll see how that goes, had my coupon printed and the roads here were shitty, so i didn't make it... i'm fine buying an item over 100 bucks, i'm not fine with getting shafted when they changed the coupon halfway through the day to a single day coupon.

so is it official....the coupon does not work?

Has anyone else tried? I may try tomorrow just for laughs...

Seems that BB modified the coupon to expire and modified the terms and such.

I think it's YMMV at this point.

I live next to a BB and may try this for something. Only time I'd shop there. It's exactly the antics highlighted in this thread (see above) that makes Best Buy such a despicable company. Yes, some SlickDealers overstepped and abused, but BestBuy has been known for doing these "crazy" deals only to back peddle at the register. It's their M.O. for getting customers in the door.

I ended up buying a WD 2tb green drive for $65 after tax. Back to prices around 2010, woohoo! I needed it to offload data from another green drive that appears to be dying.

shot down at staples and office depot. all they could see was MASTERCARD all over the place and said it wasn't a BB deal. i did point out that mastercard was in no way, shape, or form part of the deal but they didn't budge.

oh well.

I can't believe people go through such effort over a pitiful 50$. Why should office depot and staples honor this? This mentality along with some less than ethical people at slickdeals are why we can't have nice things.

Tried in albany ny and they denied me.... they told me they were only honoring it till yesterday (22nd), why do they have these coupons and then not honor them, if they're not gonna honor it they shouldn't have sent it out.

Another reason why I don't shop at best buy unless it's black friday.

I filed a complaint with the BBB... not expecting any sort of refund or working coupon, I just stated that if Best Buy isn't going to honor the coupons they send out, they shouldn't send them out just to get people in the front door.

Got this earlier today:

Dear Christopher,

Earlier this week, you and other select customers received a special promotion from Best Buy that was connected to your MasterCard®. That targeted coupon was inaccurate and sent in error. The offer is no longer valid. We sincerely apologize for the mistake and any inconvenience we have caused you. We hope to serve you better in the future.

Thank you,

I went there this evening and no luck. They had a little sign at the register...I left without buying anything

Agreed. I HATE the people on SD that go abuse deals and ruin them for everyone else. I don't even like when people go buy every item at a store so they can make a few bucks. Douchebaggery IMO.
