Yes, my Jerker is 90cm deep by 120 cm wide. The two shelving units are from Ikea, as well: Helmer drawers. Thankfully, the silver colors match.

I didn't put the wheels on the drawer units. I got the drawers after I set up my desk and the drawers only fit without the wheels.

some nice setups. gotta stay outta these forums before I go out and spend some money on new setup :p

Hello All,

Figured I would introduce myself here with a screen shot of my desktop. I am currently running 3 hp w2408h high gloss screens. Got them on ebay with very low hours for about 150 a piece. I am using a triple monitor stand, EVGA GTX 680 4GB FTW with Backplate along with 16GBs of ram ( will go into more detail if asked ) 2 cherryville ssd's and a 750 modular power supply. I run windows 8, linux and reaver along with a bunch of other low level stuff. My lan is GB with 300MB down and 65MB upstream.

Nice to meet all of you..

Finally upgraded to 3 monitors. Sadly Linux does not really support it that well though. :( I have to run one of them in a separate X session. It's also very flaky, when I reboot my toolbars are all over the place and my theme is screwed up and has to be reset. Sometimes I hate Linux, for stuff like this.

But here it is:

A 22in acer and a 12.1 laptop display running on a itx mobo with a 6600 gpu.
One for when standing the other for when sitting lol.

Not quite sure I could ever game like that. Too much detachment. I would sell them and get one 30 or 32 incher.

When I ran 3x 30" portrait, i could game easily after a few sessions. The picture is huge and highly detailed (2560p).

Suiken, I have the same Ikea dining table as my desk, only I have the larger one. A solid, cheap desk!

Thanks again for the info.

Last week I bought a used (really 'like new') Ikea Jerker 120x90cm with two shelves, one 'coffee shelf' and the computer attachment 'thing' for the the sum of €30 :D

Unfortunately I left the screws in the car (not mine), so I right now I can't put it together :(

At first I thought I was buying a 160x90 piece, but I read my mail wrong, so I hope in some magical way my 20-30-20 setup will still fit (moved house).

How many inches have every monitor?

Thanks!

It isn't linux, it's something you're doing. Even in backtrack(with video drivers installed) I don't need a separate X session for each window.

I'd go find the forums for your distro, and see if this is a common issue. I feel it isn't. If it is, sorry.

Yes, but I'm not looking to have the side monitors in front of the beams. I'd rather maintain a gap-less setup with 75cm in front of the 3007

The 2 side ones are 19" 5:4 1280x1024 and the center one is 21" widescreen 1920:1080.

Well I think it's specific to the fact that I'm using two separate nvidia cards but everything I read said it could not be done without jumping through lot of hoops or getting a card that has 3 outputs (good luck with that). One solution is I can make it so it treats 2 monitors as one "screen" but that has the adverse effect of apps opening half way between both, the taskbars stretching over both, maximized apps going over both etc... I'm hoping at some point this will be supported better. But since I use the 3rd one mostly to VNC into my server and leave it up to monitor any debug output or w/e I'm working on, it kinda works out ok for me.
