they both have good reviews and speeds with the hyper x being geared towards FPS in games and a tad faster speeds

Thanks!! The item seems to come and go. I had to add it to my cart a few times and finally got it to go through. Hopefully they actually have enough in stock to ship...I wouldn't be surprised if they end up canceling my order.

Good to see I'm not the only one about to go batshit insane after missing all these deals. For christ's sake I couldn't even get a TV locally because of the campers. I look to craigslist and all I see are overpriced 42" LCD's from 4-5 years ago for $350.

I placed my first order at 3:40am EST and it got cancelled 20 mintues later for being OOS. I then placed another order at 4:20am and got an email confirmation (didn't get one with my first order). 20 mintues later I got an email stating that my credit card has been successfully charged and is now "packaging"

Same here... BestBuy is the only store that has Toshiba 40" TV for $179.99 and its button is greyed out with words I dreaden to read: In Store.

I'm happy I scored this after missing the Staples one. I literally hit "enter code" at 12:01 PST and within 20min i checked it and went OOS.
I almost grabbed an OCZ 120GB too about 3 hours earlier...so happy now I'm a patient person.
Good luck on getting deals everyone. Don't forget about Cyber Monday too.
 
the 240 is $164.99 right now. Not too bad, but nothing compared to the 120 at $55. The 240 was around $150 in October btw, but I'm not sure the 120 was ever this low at $55 wow

I don't think the code was ever supposed to work for anything but the 120
 
The 240 is a non-deal as the intel 330 & the sandisk extreme 240 are both $139 :-/
 
Yeah for some, though I prefer the kingston over either for my needs in the 240 catagory and others might like it as well.
Saw the sandisk in the same promo link, looked over it, def nice deal as well
 
Yeah they all have varying specs and stuff. Everyone has a different situation yet they are all great deals so it will be hard to decide which one is most ideal for your situation.

The sandisk and the kingston have a lot in common though, mlc, 3 year warranty, very close msr/msw. The iops are very different though according to newegg's stats
Seems the sandisk is a better deal for most cases

good for nothing Staples, over extending online sales by selling more than they can deliver. Why put me thu all of this hassle just to say it's OOS after placing my order :confused: black friday, primetime amateur hour waste of time:mad:

the 240gb for is back in stock at the Egg. if your willing to pay the $20 difference, might as well stretch just a little more and double the space.

Considered it, but the 240 is no longer on sale at Staples.

EDIT: Don't really want to order it. Need space NAHO. Lol.
 
They are spoon feeding the 120gb drives on the site. I just had one in the cart and was racing to check out and someone nabbed it!
 
Yeah it just went in stock and mid checkout it was gone. So annoyed since my drive just died...

I'm hoping so or some other sale prior to xmas. Only have seen OCZ 120GBish drives on sale that I'm not touching. Kingston sold out when I was asleep. Hopefully see something on a Samsung or Crucial.
 
Damn. It showed in stock and then I added it to the cartbut it was already out of stock.
