Those memory specs don't even match what Nintendo said, I think these sheets are bull sheet.

That CPU clock speed seems a little slow... Unless that's the clocks for Wii comparability mode or something. I hope Nintendo didn't do the retarded thing like adding clock speeds from 3 cores to "make" a 3 GHz chip.

According to google translate, it says it has 2 processors, 6 cores, and 12 threads... It would make sense with half that. If it's not fake, maybe it's from an old dev kit.

... Unless the spec sheet is generally retarded and the 2 processors at 920 MHz are really 1 tri-core at (920*2)= 1.84 GHz.... again maybe a dev kit running to CPUs until IBM could get the clock-speeds up?

That info does not mesh with what devas have said at all.

Her is another site that spoke with devs AND watch the video the gamepad is faster than the TV no lag. AND read the part where a Dev loaded a game at E3 into memory and ran it. I don't think it has power issues. I wish I could find it but I remember reading that the system uses advance clock control to save power and heat and that it can be ramped up as software demands. No launch title is taxing it.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-08-30-how-powerful-is-the-wii-u-really

And all these people in the articles saying that the next PS/Xbox will be way more powerful I'm willing to bet that they won't be that much better, people aren't gonna jump on consoles in the range of 500 to 600 dollars which is what it would be for them to be far beyond what the Wii u is.

Can we get a link to these sheets? How can anyone verify?
BTW, We already know it has 1GB of system RAM for games, so I think this sheet is old or something. The numbers dont match what we already know.

Several devs have already complained about the Wii U's CPU, specifically how its less powerful then what current consoles already have. This is pretty much close to what I was expecting, with most of the performance increases comming architecture side...

512MB Main Memory + 408MB Block RAM + 64MB for display (display buffer?) = 1GB total system RAM. Nevermind the 512MB on the GPU itself...

What I'm saying, is Nintendo might have been liberal on what they call "system RAM".

It won't be quite as bad as Wii vs PS360, but the next Sony and MS consoles will be way more powerful than Wii-U. The big graphics intensive third party games next gen won't be ported to run on Nintendo's system. Its CPU is pathetic. Basically an upgraded/overclocked 3 core Gamecube CPU. And it's only got a fraction of the ram of the other systems - various rumors suggest between 4-8GB for PS4/Next Xbox.

The other systems don't need to cost $500-600 to go far beyond Wii-U, because a large part of Wii-U's budget is the controller.

I remember earlier this year, Epic implied Wii-U games will run on the mobile version of UE4 engine.

Wii-U will be a half step. Better than this generation, but easily outclassed by next generation.
Buy one to play Mario, Zelda etc.. It's not getting the same third party titles as the Sony and MS boxes will have.

How can a core have 3 threads? If IBM made such a feat, we would have already known.
Some of these details do not make any sense.

Also, nobody on GAF is talking about this, so theres no way this is remotely new.
Plus, still no link. Still no validation.

ign has a review of ninja gaiden up and he talks about anti-aliasing has me a little worried ;O

So does this mean no 1080p native? Sounds weak.

Nintendo is usually a gen behind IIRC. Wasn't the Wii slightly faster than the Xbox 1, and meant to compete with PS3/360. I remember it being called Gamecube 1.5 lol.

Better keep killing it on your 1st party titles! Other M-2 anyone? LOL

i think the wii u is doing a little better in closing the gap atleast graphically.

it has same visuals as current gen and its at the beginning of its life. games could very well end up looking really good. generally it improves over the lifetime of the machine

You realize that game got a 3/10 for PS/Xbox that fact that it got a 7.8/10 is a small feat. Besides that game is a horrible example of what we should expect they have killed that franchise. I'll wait for the reviews of well made games to come out.

Nintendo has said time and again target is 1080P 60 fps on all titles, not upscaled like the 360 or like the ps3 that can't upscale for shit. Those are launch titles look at the PS/Xbox launch titles compared to now. HUGE difference

that point is irrelevant since he is comparing the wii u graphically to the xbox and ps3. and specifically states that it looks better on xbox and ps3. so its previous score doesnt matter at all.

It isn't irrelevant because if you look at ign and there review staff they are the biggest group of PS/Xbox fanboys out there. My point is the this is a shit game period. And probably a rushed port with story tweaks. And considering that other reviewers have said that games like cod and ac looked better on Wii u.

It is a shit game.
If you are looking forward to it, you have horrible memory.
Hayashi has been on my shit list since Ninja Gaiden Sigma. He does not get my money, period.

He is the worst thing to happen to Tecmo, since..... their management.
Ninja Gaiden ended when Itagaki left. Ninja Gaiden died when Hayashi made Sigma.

I can't believe I'm digging this back up, it hurts to think about it....

LOL you scream too I bet. Haha ;)

I want ZombieU so bad...looks so good. Want Mario as well. Wish Pikmin 3 was coming out, I think I'll only get those 2 to start if I can get my hands on a console. Already looking at $120 though with just those 2 games heh. Anything else you see that looks like it's worth getting?

Whaaaat mario a rental? You nuts!?

ZombiU is what sold me, gotta have it on day one.
NSMBWU is a no brainer, but theres stuff on the eshop worth looking at.
Gonna pick up Nano Assault Neo and maybe Cloudberry Kingdom. There is also Mighty Switch Force HD, which is an HD version of the 3DS game. Aliens: Colonial Marines looks really good every time I see it, but it's a PC game too, so the controller better be revolutionary or PC wins.

The first 4 are for sure for me.
ZombiU is hype. Cant wait.

Wow just goes to show you how much I know about games as of recent. I'll take a look at all those, wouldn't have even known they existed if you didn't mention them.

Please, exhibit A:
The redemption of New Super Mario Bros U
Quote:
When NSMB2 proved disappointing, I still didn’t believe its Wii U counterpart would save it. Yet now, after spending several hours with the game, my entire impression of it has changed.

Quote: It’s clear that the team working on Mario’s inaugural Wii U adventure has a fondness for Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. A great fondness. And for someone like me, whose childhood was defined by those experiences, that’s great news. The Torpedo Teds. The vast, continuous overworld that stretches and offers branching paths. The return of the Koopalings. Monty Moles. Perhaps more than any ‘New Mario’ game before it, this one brings back elements of some of Mario’s greatest adventures –some of the best in gaming history – and runs with them. And we’ll all benefit from that.

Quote: What’s more interesting is that the Koopalings aren’t your only boss threat.

I had just swept through and defeated one of Bowser’s so-called sons, and was moving to the next world. Suddenly, the King Koopa’s personal airship dived in from above, initiating a battle. It turns out that Bowser Jr. is prone to ambushing you at random. Although I had just bested a castle and its master, here I was engaged in another boss fight.

Quote: New Super Mario Bros. U features a Challenge Mode, which tasks you with insane, incredible objectives that will push Mario veterans to their limits. Each ‘level’ is very simple in its design and execution - say a single, narrow platform surrounded by spikes - with an insane request - like dodging fireballs thrown by two devious Fire Bros. You’re then graded, and assigned a bronze, silver or gold trophy based on your performance. In the aforementioned case of fire-dodging, you must survive for over 40 seconds to claim the best prize.

Quote: For the first time ever, Nintendo will allow you to customize the level with coin placement. That’s right - you have hundreds of coins at your disposal, and can craft even crazier tasks for you and your friends, daring others to jump blindly off ledges or risk everything for just a little extra gold.

I don't.... even... .
can't...... breathe...

Not until 2013 but The Wonderful 101 looks great.

I'm a huge fan of Bayonetta so I'm looking forward to playing part 2.

Lego City Undercover looks fun too. It's pretty much a Lego version of GTA but looks good and my boys should love it.

Nice troll post. What Nintendo system besides the Wii was a generation behind?

I'm really excited for NSMBWiiU now. Bad level design has been by biggest gripe with most games this gen, I hope Mario games can help break the mold.
