Cool New Technology of the Day

Cool this is something an app developer could easily cash in on i'm thinking. Plenty of cool game ideas or things you could do with this and friend could join in.
 
I can see some pretty cool applications for stuff like video billboards and advertisements, and it would make for some interesting art installations, too. Practically, though, I'm having trouble thinking of any way I'd use this day-to-day.
 
It'll be better when they figure out how to make borderless displays
 
Japs are the most innovative people on this planet. They don't ask why something can be done if it can be done. Kudos to them. Build it then figure out what it can be used for. :cool:
 
uhh, the usual, pr0n, I can easily imagine a guy on one device and a girl on the other, doing....things.
 
CRAP! I'll miss the game because the TV broke!

No prob, let's just invite everyone on the block over and slave 500 cellphone screen together!
 
Doesn't QNX (new BlackBerry OS) or some other blackberry developer already do this? I seem to remember seeing a tech demo alot like this back when I had my Playbook...

Rice? :) Kidding. I love Japan. Smart people, for sure. I still want to visit there sometime. Just an amazing place.

Multiple iPads together. Just join them up, pinch and bam. Each player uses their own for air hockey or baseball or whatever. Get 4 and do Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Outside of games, though, it'd be hard to find a practical use.
