Hey guys. I will be very greatful. Can somebody make for me 5 loops from a row in 3dmark 11 in performance mode?
I ask because i have very big differences in results.
I mean scores on my card,are : 9458 to 9399 then 9438 to 9396 , then 9436 to 9391 and 9391 to 9442. ( score to score, from a row )
If somebody make 5 loops and paste here scores ok? Please , please. Cheers.

pc:
3770k 3.5 stock
Msi Twin Frozr Gtx 680
8gb ram
301 whql

Please have the same clocks on cpu and gpu on that loops.

I want to know what is your the most bigger difference in points between score to next score.
I mean from a row. So i ask about first 5 scores.

If somebody will be have similiar like me differences of 40-50 points i will be more patient.

Thats a 0.43% RSD (Relative Standard Deviation). What was your complaint again? I think a half percent difference run to run is great reproducibility.

But why i have 50 +- different variation in scores. While my 2 friends with the same GPU and CPU and drivers have smaller differences from score to score ( like 10 or 20 points )

And when i run few times 3dmark 11 a score is varied to 50-40 points differences. While on my friends that different are 10-20 points.

Unless you have problems with actual games, I wouldn't care about it.

My guess is you are teetering on the edge of 70c. At 70c the GTX 680 lowers its boost clock by a step.

Try setting your GPU fan to 100% and do your tuns and see if your scores are more consistent.

So when my scores variant about 40-50 +- different scores , temps are higher than 70c and my card are overheating? Are you sure bro?

( my scores: - >9458 to 9399 then 9438 to 9396 , then 9436 to 9391 and 9391 to 9442 )

I'm positive.

And it's not "overheating" It's just lowering its "boost" overclock one step. Overheating doesn't happen until 98c. You are never getting less than the stock 1006 MHz core clock until you go past 98c.

The GTX 680 overclocks itself automatically. When you pass 70c, 80c, 85c, and 95c it lowers the amount it overclocks itself by.

See this chart:

Agreed, turn your fan up and see what happens. My similar machine, 3770k with 680 Lightning can replicate the same score within 3 to 5 points back to back. Your card is probably either lowering its boost due to temperature or you might have another program competing for resources in the background.

What you mean 3 to 5 points back? You have only differences on score between 3-5 points? Can you give your max different on points between scores? please

If you're that concerned I would turn on the fan to 100% and run the tests again.

I mean you run that earlier 4 tests on the same fan speed % and on the same GPU and CPU clocks, yes? ( P10310, P10239, P10266, P10283 )

While that 4 tests all settings was the same ? ( gpu fan speed, GPU CLOCKS, CPU CLOCSK )

My card have default fan speed:) On your tests GPU fan speed was on default?

When I get home I can run it in a loop and post the results, but my setup has typically been very very close to each other when I run it multiple times. Have you looked at the breakdown to see if there is any changes in FPS on a certain part?

Test 4 was with the smaller margin between runs:) Only 1 test and 2 test was with the most high fluctuate fps between runs:) Strange

Why on earth are you worring about 40to50 points. That could be the boost throttling or another process running on your computer same time the cpu physics test is running. Its way in the margin of error. Your wastin your time. Go play some games and enjoy it

40 to 50 points is not a major difference. Now if we were talkin 1000 points maybe. I see nothing wrong

i know but i want to make sure that all is ok with card:). Because other peoples have smaller differences between score on 3dmark11. Anyway thx for help guys:) Cheers

But your comparing apples to dog crap

Is same version of windows loaded. Same version if ant virus same updates. Same set of applications loaded?
See where im goin with this?

Its such a small amount its not even worrying about.

( 9458 to 9399 ) this is 59 points difference , its not too big fluctuate?

No and Filter is right, if the others doing the test aren't using the exact same cpu, exact same software etc etc their results won't help you at all, because all it will show is what their system is doing.

And last thing, the 3D mark 11 test is not a reliable way to test if your card is ok. There is too many problems with it. It's ok to run a quick benchmark on but it's not something that you should spend hours worrying about if you don't get the same score as others.

Play games, if you aren't get the good performance in games then look more into it.

Guys i am very greatful for your help. I am very pleased . But i want to ask about last thing. Here are my latest scores. And that fluctuations between scores are ok or not? PLeaseeee. Look:

@litwicki23, you're fine dude! It's like complaining about Windows taking a few seconds longer to boot. There is nothing to worry about.

Well I will have to disagree I think the flux capacitor on his card needs some tuning. Get a volt meter and connect one end to the second DVI connector on the card and connect the other end to the mouse. Then start up the benchmarking program and see what the reading are. Report back to us asap. :D:eek:

No, we have told you our opinion, you aren't listening. How many times do you need to be told that your card is fine?

3dmark scores can't fluctuate. There must be ZERO variation. A difference of +-1 point clearly indicates a severe problem.

You have to check drivers, bios, latest patches and upgrades, anti virus and installed applications/games.

Also check temperatures, volts and noise.

You'll need at least 32gb of ram, a Corei7 Ivy Bridge EE bridge, z77mobo and dual 256gb SSDs on RAID0

Or you can just play games and be done with it. :D:D

i hope to god your trolling .

Just downloaded this program, my old I7 950 still kicks some ass, I got a score of P10500

I was thinking of upgrading to a sandy or Ivybride but I think I will wait for the next chip to come out.

That's a very good score, around the same as me.
