I'm thinking of switching to my 30" as my main gaming monitor but that means I have 3x spare 24" now...

Is it possible to use 2x 24" on the side yet?

Yes, but if you are doing eyefinity your in game resolution will still be 5760x1200. If you want to try SoftTH (Limits you to DX9 and one GPU for rendering), you will get a resolution of 6400x1600 and will render some of the scene where there is no physical screen.

Wait.. it's possible?

So, I could do it on my 20/30/20 monitors?

Yup, before i bought my 3X 2312HM, i was using 3 different samsung monitor. middle one is going at 1920x1080 while the left and right monitor is going at 1680x1050.

My previous set up 22/24/22

I thought all 3 had to be at the same res?

Nope you dont have to.

Its the same logic as connecting additional monitor to your current laptop. You set the settings to extend desktop, both your laptop and the extended monitor will have different resolution.

Oh ok I thought you were talking about gaming

It's always been possible. Just not with eyefinity gaming.

Different resolutions are possible, but orientation must be the same (PPP or LLL).
