Hi guys. I am looking for a good gaming mouse. I don't have much to spend on it. 50$ max.

So Maybe g300? g400?, What are other choices? Something from a4tech maybe...

I think I prefer big mouses, and not flat if that means anything :p

G300 is medium sized. I've got a pair of them.
G700 is what I use, paid $50 from Logitech last year.

Depends if you like claw grip or palm grip. I'd recommend the CM Storm Spawn for claw grip ($35 or so, don't let the price fool you, amazing mouse) and the CM Storm Sentinel Advance II for palm grip ($60-ish, but worth it, very customizable and a great Avago sensor like the Spawn).

Do not confuse the Sentinel Advance II with the Sentinel Z3R0-G or original Sentinel Advance -- they both use the Phillips TwinEye sensor, which is pretty much universally agreed to be terrible. I would never recommend either of them for this reason.

EDIT: Amazon Warehouse (returns sold for less with full warranty) has the Roccat Kone+ for $47 shipped. Very good mouse for this price.

Damn, that Roccat Kone looks really good for the price. Too bad I just got the Naga Hex :(

I would like to know more about those Roccat mouses. I don't even know that company.

Right now G400 seems to be the best but those roccat mouses looks good too.
Roccat Kova and Pyra that is. Kone is too expensive here (Poland. CM mouses and steelseries are also either expensive or hard to find at least where I look)

Ok guys. Ordered g400. Will write a small review in next week when It will arrive :)

Also bought a gelpad for it. Just a typical "soft cloth material" black big gelpad from tracer. nothing fancy.
And i am wondering. I would never use any other mouse pad than "cloth" material because I like how soft and quiet the mouse feels but does the black soft cloth material have any cons to mouse performance? My current mouse feels perfect on it.

I had a gaming pro mosuepad once and it felt like sandpaper

Another vote for G700 great mouse and I also got it at 50$ when it first came out, Logitech has 50% off deals from time to time. If you can wait for a sale its the way to go. Had it sense they came out and no problems yet.

Hope the G400 works well for you too!

G700 is the best wireless gaming mouse. The battery life is horrendous though, but it's rechargeable.

Any Mionix mouse; even the cheaper LED mouse (NAOS 3200, which is what I have) is awesome. Way more comfortable than anything Logitech has ever made, even the MX1000 which is still by FAR the best mouse Logitech ever made. I'm personally not even sure why people still recommend Logitech as if they're so awesome. They're not what they used to be (though they are not total garbage either) IMO.

Ok guys. DONE. just got my g400 and it's fantastic. I like the size of it and materials used. It feels like quality product.
And ofc it have perfect sensitivity !

So with that G400.

Would You suggest using Logitech gaming software? (it is the drivers as well ?)
Disable acceleration in it and change pooling rate to 1000 ?

or just don't install anything and use mouse as it is? (the default dpi button don't work then)

And how do I check if I have updated revision or jitter edition ?

Check out this thread If your serial number is nothing as the logitech administrator described, then you still have the newer version.

Also, If the transparant seal sticker on the box has logitech written on it, you have the new Angle Snaping removed version. If not, you have the older version.

Also quoting from a guy in overclock.net forum who quoted another guy in logitech forum that quoted a logitech admin.

It should have a PID above LZ13333

If it does not have a PID but has a S/N of ANY number then it has no angle snapping according to a logitech support specialist and a logitech product team member.

For example a G400 might have a S/N of 1204LZ024LH4 some people might think LZ024LH4 is a lower number then LZ13333 but this is not the case since this is a S/N and not a PID:

This is a newer G400 mouse.

We are in transition from PID to S/N for new products/production units.

Any G400 that has a full serial number and not a PID has angle snapping disabled.

Bought a Logitech G9x a few years ago and haven't regretted it since, hell, the skates are almost worn off and need to be replaced soon even.

I just got a new Razer Death Adder 3.5g optical. I just do not like the tracking i get with laser.

Great mouse decent size under 50 bucks.

Also Roccat products are great I have a Roccat Avro slim gaming keyboard and my work buddy has the next board up Isku. They make Great products.

when my ver 1 g5 finally died (4~years or so old) I got a G500 to replace it

(after a disastrous ...well i didn't like it too small for my hands... attempt at using a Corsiar M60 ..too bad nice build quality but terrible ergonomics for me at least).

however the G500 has been a total success .. very nice mouse indeed.

ok, about that g400... which I totally forgot to review :p (sorry)

So I've been using it for a few weeks now and I generally like it.
It looks fantastic the grip is perfect either for claw or palm. Tho I guess it might be too small on the back for relaxed palm grippers. The mouse itself is big, sturdy and light at the same time.
The precision is good, customizable dpi and logitech software is also good and standard for every logitech software. nothing new here.

Now some "cons"
-Scroll wheel was kinda small but I got used to is.
-The matt finish was kinda dry for few days. It was like mouse from sandpaper. After few days it seems to "oiled" and it is perfect now.
-and only real con I have is side abck and forward buttons. They function allright etc but their placement is kinda weird. Many times. MANY TIMES I accidently press back button when going for a mouse after writting a post in quick reply form and I clikc BACK button when reaching for the mouse. I think those buttons are a bit too easy to press or too big.

overall it is the best mouse I had yet. I just need to get used to it's side buttons more. It is mouse that gets better with time let's say ;)

Ohh and about cable - some ppl says it's thin and flimsy? nah. thats not true. The cable is all fine and feels good.

G400 is a great mouse, the tracking is excellent. I just hate Logitech's stupid "bump" though...I've tried the G400, 500, 700 my hand cramps up on all of them after a couple hours of gaming.

I just got the new black death adder to replace my mamba and OG deathadder and love it. It doesn't feel like a toy, which many razer mice do imo.

one more G500 vote... this is the mouse is just simply teh awesome.

really really good mouse.

Moved from a G9x to a Sensei and I love both, but the Sensei software is amazing + the performance is top notch.

I really like the Rat 3 for $49 at best buy. Have it on a secondary computer, using the rat 7 on my main PC.
