How many of you guys remember BitBoys? Remember all the talk about the Glaze3D, the company's Extreme Bandwidth Architecture and the rare hardware sightings we dubbed "Sasquatch" sightings? Ahhh, those were the days. Speaking of, these pictures ought to bring back a few memories.

Imgtec started making products for mobile devices and their PowerVR graphics cores and video cores are in a great major products including iPhones and the Samsung Galaxy line.

I'm more nostalgic about the 3dfx Rampage. That looked pretty innovative and also seemed to be quite close to hitting the market. It's a shame they couldn't have lasted a few months longer.

I still think their card that would of "one upped" the 9800pro was a scam. Very weird to see similar specs with just a +10% clockspeed.

All of those secondary guys are now quite successful.
bit boys oi! were bought by ATI/AMD (before merge, imageon) and then by qualcomm. The tech must have been pretty good, they are the team that is doing Adreno. Used in Snapdragon SOCs
PowerVR turned into imagination technologies. Their core is also used heavily in tablets and phones as the SGX. I believe that TI OMAP uses them as well as other vendors.
They both had very good tech that got crushed by the big boys. Now they are giving them a run for their money
