The FBI has expanded its Anti-Piracy Warning logo to be used by practically anyone who wishes to slap it on a movie, music product, a website or pretty much whatever you wish. That should significantly raise anti-piracy security to a new level. We should all feel much safer now. :D

It's pretty clear that the purpose is to falsely imply that sharing with a friend music you legally purchased might somehow lead you to being targeted in an FBI sting operation. It's FUD, plain and simple.

Excuse me while I go slap that logo on the forehead of that drummer from Metallica... I'll have to try a few times, maybe even use a blunt object to get the seal on right, but he'll be protected. :p

Have they ever heard of anti aliasing on the edges of the logo. Or using photoshop magic wand tool to get rid of the white aroud the edges lol.

Am I standing up for the rights of this website or am I causing a substantial financial burden???

In Europe, when we select to play a freshly purchased BR/DVD movie from the menu, it starts. One or two decently timed screens of "you're allowed to do this but not that" upon initial disc-load and it's done.

Then we learn what you guys go through. Stuff that can blöw yör mïnd.

While we are on the subject, what does "Homeland Security" have to do with the shit?

Started noticing these warnings on Redbox movies a couple months ago.

The more they use it, the more people will ignore it. Slapping it on everything will just cause everyone to tune it out.

So is this like when you used to make a copy of that video tape you rented, but you didn't hit record until after the FBI logo? :D

I've never seen that logo on any of the movies I've downloaded ;)

Its annoying having to stare at that thing whenever we watch a movie on DVD.

Lets not give them video game developers any idea of making us stare at it before playing our games.
