A question about PLL

Hey guys,

Several hours ago I finished testing my system, I reduced my Vcore to 1.35V under load and set my PLL to 1.65 and achieved great stability, over 13 hours of Prime95 27.7 blend passed successfully.

One thing that I've heard and worries me a little, I read that if you set your PLL too low, your CPU may be rock solid, but your ICH and PCI-E may suffer instability, GPUs may perform different, as well and so will the memory.

Is 1.65V PLL considered *TOO* low or is it acceptable? According to Intel's datasheet the minimum used should be 1.7, I've tried 1.7 but got a BSOD on prime, so I set it to 1.65 and I passed 13 hours without any issues.

How do I verify that my ICH and PCI-E are stable after reducing my PLL?

run furmark or something that stresses the pcie like heaven benchmark also. Do some file transfers etc.
 
No worries. They are on different power planes.
ICH and PCIE runs on separate VRs on mobo.
 
I have the same question about this. If I overclock my CPU up to 4.4ghz at 1.215 V, should I adjust anything else? I'm a first time overclocker and know what to do with VCore but with the other voltage options in BIOS im clueless.

On an unlocked processor you can usually get away with just raising the multi and Vcore.
 
Thanks guys I'll run some tests for the gpu on stock just to make sure
