What music player/skin is that? Nice screens.

Just finished painting my room and adding shelves. My new setup:

I'm thinking they are LACK shelves from Ikea, which have the mounting hardware inside the actual shelf. I am looking at getting the same for my office.

The CM690 has a special place in my heart. I like how much it can fit in, yet how compact it is. It even holds more than my Lian Li PC-75 (currently 7 HDDs, 120mm rad, 60mm rad, double bay res). It's heavy though: over 20kg

I got the shelves from a local hardware shop. They slide on to wall mountings which are screwed in to 1/2" thick plasterboard with some special screws (didn't trust the ones that came with the pack). Each one is rated to 25kg, but they sag a little even under 10kg.
Right screen at the top is Winamp with classic skin.

Being wanting to post here for a while. Finally got a video card to run my 3 monitors (Samsung T260HD, and 2 x T260s). Actually, 4 monitors. Fourth one is a compaq 19 inch I intend to used for accessory monitor, to show my core temps and video card info while I'm gaming. Just gotta figure out how to make that work. Sorry about image quality - it was taken with my cellphone.

Great for the price, having it pair with my senn HD650 along with superlux hd681, hd668b, hd662f. It brings out the highs and lows out very obviously. Looking at the bifrost for my next upgrade on my audio journey.

Woah, thats a collection of monitors I wouldn't mind having on my desk.

How's that T221 in daily use?

I have a bunch of photos of the in between but the before/after is much more effective.

Damn those IBM monitors have such a high resolution, how can you use windows with something like that when the OS has such poor scaling.. and I thought the U2711 had a high PPI.

There are 3840 x 2160 quad full hd (QFHD) 60 hz ips screens due out eventually at around 26 - 27" and reports of a 32", which would be around 166 ppi and 140 ppi respectively. There are also different rez "retina " displays due out esp on mac laptops.
.
Personally I have no problem with 108.8 ppi on my 27" acd, 129.58 ppi on my laptop, 146.55 ppi on my tablet, and 256.15 ppi on my phone. I don't scale my computers at all.

Depends on what scaling mode you use...I've found Window 7 to have some of the best DPI scaling options of any OS out today. The thing that might give you headaches it that Windows 7 uses XP-style metrics-scaling for 96 PPI to 120 PPI.

Anything over 120 PPI and Windows 7 uses a newer scaling method that works perfectly across the board. All applications appear at the correct size and without broken GUI elements.
- Applications that are high-DPI aware are rendered at the selected DPI.
- Applications that are not high-DPI aware are rendered to a backbuffer at 96 DPI, then scaled to the DPI of your monitor so everything is the correct size.
- In this mode, the "compatibility" tab allows you to force XP-style metrics-scaling on an program-by-program basis.

End result? High-DPI-Aware applications look crisper than they would on a 96 PPI display. Non-High-DPI-Aware applications look the same as they did on a 96 PPI screen of the same physical dimensions. And you have the option of using XP-style scaling on a per-program basis if it does indeed scale the program in question to high-DPI without breaking the UI.

The reason they only enable the new scaling method at PPI settings over 120 PPI is so that the scaler has enough extra pixels to interpolate to. You can force the new scaling method on sub-120 PPI settings, but you'll get substantial blurring due to the scaler having to fudge uneven pixel multipliers.

You must have very good eyes or be very young, I'm 28 and I consider myself to still have very good eyesight and I could never use my monitor without scaling unless I want a headache.

I tried it and it broke several games I have notably Unreal Tournament 3 (yes I play UT3!) the windows lose focus every 2 minutes.

What do you think of that Sony monitor so far? Been hearing very mixed reviews on it and seen some very good deals around the internet on it as well.

I wasn't all that impressed with I got it at first. The picture and text weren't great, not horrible but it looked off. But after about 10 minutes of tweaking, it looks AMAZING now! I basically had to change the picture mode to "standard" and reduced the sharpness to 0 (great overall text quality). I paid a little over $200 for the monitor and I'm really happy with it. The Sony is a worthy successor to my 26" KDS-2626mdhwb.

Just joined. First post. This is my work in progress. Still some stuff to buy. Looks a little bit different now than it does in the pic. Displays are working and 90% of the cable management is done.

I mentioned how to solve issues like this in the post you quoted. lol

1. Right click the shortcut to UT3, select "Properties"
2. Go to the "Compatibility" tab
3. Check "Disable Display Scaling on High-DPI Settings"
4. Click Apply.

Should fix the problem.

How are you liking that keyboard/mouse combo? Thinking of getting it.

I really like my Blackwidow Ultimate, it's a great mechanical keyboard. I'm sure the Filco purists will disagree but it works well for me. Really responsive! As for the Mamba, best mouse I've ever used!

I want to get a mamba but they are righty only!

Had some spare time (finally!) to take some pics of my Eyefinity 3X30'' 7680X1600 set-up in action. Some games I'm playing right now. :)

Is that the SIIG Triple monitor mount? I just got one and I like it pretty much so far. Have you tried triple portrait? I was having trouble getting mine 'leveled' correctly (either the left or the right was about an inch or two lower than the middle.) hence the crazy mismatched PLP (aka the TieFighter). My desk doesn't really have space for LLL like yours (maybe someday;)) It might just be because I'm using 24"...

Edit: My setup is the last photo pg.1019 :)

Check out eizo 34" monster,
http://www.eizo.com/global/products/radiforce/rx840/index.html
Cost about 30 grand, dual DP or dual D-l DVI to drive it. GtG is 25 ms. Mostly use in med field, so they don't care about response time.

It's the triple mount from easymountlcd: http://shop.easymountlcd.com/Deluxe...-Desktop-Clamp-up-to-28-002-0019-002-0019.htm
It's very well built for it's price and looks similar the the SIIG mount. Haven't tried it in portrait.

You might have room if you remove what looks to be another computer/display on the left of the desk.
