So yeah, I get random words highlighted in my chrome browser by this thing called "text enhance". I never ok'd the installation but that's aside from the point.

Other places, them included, claim all I need to do is go into my chrome extensions menu and uninstall it, but it's not even there! This is not fun and I want it to go away.

example of what? I said it doesn't come up in my menu?

As for what it is, if you really don't know what text highlighting malware is, there is always google, not to mention the company itself text enhance, http://text-enhance.com/

An example of random words being highlighted, say on hardforum.com.

I know exactly what it is. Ironically, by your comment, you should too, because Google is available at your disposal. I was merely guiding you to solving your own issue (which isn't really an issue). That service is one way for websites to monetize their content, similar to how hardforum.com did/does it. It's like asking 'why does Google have a search bar in the middle of their webpage,' to which the answer would be 'because they put it there.'

Ummm I USED google, and the only solution I got was to check in my extensions and uninstall it....it wasnt there....THAT IS WHAT MY PROBLEM IS.

So it's still apparently present despite my one solution to uninstall it not working because it isn't there to uninstall.

Not to mention I am getting ads elsewhere in weird places, like on facebook, which isn't facebooks doing because it says specifically "ad is not from facebook", basically this text enhance malware is in my system and I want it removed. I have run malware bytes, ad-aware and googles the solution of looking into my extensions menu to uninstall it and it simply isn't there.

So if you know what it is and I know what it is, than you don't need any examples, and I have already used google to find a solution, which is why I posted on here in the first place.

so...fun fact I may have just discovered on accident, is that text enhance disguised itself under a different extension designed to save streaming video files, as it only seemed vaguely familiar, I uninstalled that and it seems to have disappeared....very strange.
