As long as this guy doesn't address his remaining employees as "those of you that haven't been fired yet" he should be okay....until the next round of layoffs.

Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson has reassured the struggling Internet company's employees about his turnaround strategy during meetings next week. Thompson also sought to boost sagging employee morale in a the memo he sent staffers on Thursday. It came a day after Yahoo Inc. began laying off 2,000 workers in the biggest purge in the company's 17-year history.

And to think these yahoos turned down Microsoft's buyout offer only a few short years ago. One of the worst business decisions ever because of one man's ego.

Unfortunately not so hilarious when you're working for a company laying off by the thousands.

True that brother....

What's sadder is these jobs are no longer coming back, Richard Wolff and Chris Hedges were right years ago.

And every story I've ever heard, people who jump before being laid off end up better off than those who try to stick it out. Can't think of a single story where the guy was happy he remained until the bitter end.

Depends on the conditions. If you get laid of at the same time the company collapses that can kind of suck. But I've been laid off in a couple of situations that were great as I had bonus, severance and found a job before my official end date where I had been laid off but of course the company hadn't totally collapsed at that point.
