Not necessarily in that exact order but I have traded/sold way to many CPUs.

Yikes! Well, my brain hurts just thinking about it. Thankfully I've bought most of my CPUs through Newegg over the years and was able to refresh my memory a bit. I've owned a bunch of other CPUs/systems, but this is what I've had as my `main' machine over the years:

Everything since the 486-66DX2 has been overclocked to some extent or another.

This question gets asked every couple of months. Its always a good memory excercise for me.

Phenom II X6 1100T (my current secondary rig)

No Celerons or Durons for me

Mines pretty easy cause I ran my first rig for 7 years. Didn't get addicted to chronic upgrading til 2009.....hmmm, that's the same time I joined up here. Hmmmm.....

Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz (2001-2008)

AMD Phenom II X6 1090 (2011-probably this week)

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a FX-8120 here in the next few days for no other reason than I want something new to play with. I've cranked my trusty X6 as far as it will go so now I want to play with an FX and see how far I can get it with my humble Hyper 212 cooling.

Many of my secondary systems were just transplanted CPU's from what used to be my main system, and i prolly also missed a few cpu's in there

My personal machine building began in 2003. Started using a 286 when I was in diapers, but that doesn't count.

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
AMD Athlon x2 3600+
AMD Athlon x2 6000+
AMD Phenom 955 BE
Intel i5 2500K (I finally jumped ship, couldn't be happier)

I've overclocked every single CPU I've ever owned and never killed a one and I've built every single system myself, save the very first one I bought.

[7/2010] Intel i7-875K [friend wanted i7-860, paid almost full price for it, so I just upgraded]

Tandy 1000 HX
Intel 486sx upgraded it to a:
Intel 486dx 66mhz
Intel Pentium 90MHz over clocked to 100MHz (wouldn't play MP3s smoothly otherwise)
AMD Thunderbird 800MHz
AMD 2100+ (I won this one in a AMD contest :D)
AMD 1700+ over clocked to 2400+
Intel C2D 6400
Intel C2Q Q6600
Intel C2D T9400 (laptop since I have a tentative sale on the desktop)

Not quite sure what's next, but it will be better then all the above :)

Up until the 486 these were all family systems that my dad purchased, so not sure on some of the exact specs esp 286 + 386

Mid 80s - 8088 4.77 MHz IBM PCjr
Late 80s - unk likely same as above 8088 - Tandy 1000 HD
Early 90s - 286 unk, then 386 unk
1993 - 486 DX 33 - Cirrus Logic 1 MB VGA
1996 - Pentium 200 (non MMx) Matrox Mystique 4 MB
2002 - Pentium 4 2.0A Northwood Nvidia Geforce Ti 4200 64 MB
2012 - i7-2700k eVGA 580 1.5 GB

Believe it has been 100% intel !! Chew on that fanboys!

Quite the pause in between the P4 and i7, but MAN is the speed increase noticeable -- I even ran Cinebench 11.5 on the P4 -- got something like a .23 vs the 7.7 or so I get on my 2700k (all cores at 3.9)
