Post your "rate my cables" here

Cases are for people with money

I hope you don't have a cat.:eek::eek::eek:
He doesn't. He can't afford one.

;)

i don't know, a cat may be a necessary evil to keep the rats from making a nest in there.
sure the cat might have a bit of a chew on those cables, better than finding rat shit in your computer case or computer shelf...:p

funny business aside, love seeing submissions like this. it's a nice contrast to the anal- retentive cable management jobs.

what think?

love seeing tidy cable jobs on the reverse side of case. getting a clean job done in the MB side of case is relatively easy. taming the nest behind the MB tray takes some time and skill.

nice work.

Here is my Antec P180B that I recently watercooled and modified.

Here is the right side of the case where I have routed all the cables to hide them:

And here it is with the side-panel off:

I made my own power cables to power the 2x DVD-RW drives and the 2x Sunbeam Rheobus fan controllers with a single cable that was the exact right length:

And these are the parts that I chopped out of my Antec P180B to help with the cable management:

not bad, but maybe you can improve it with some sleeving and zipties.
do you have more detailed information on that build? (case, mobo, ....)

Lian Li PC-Q09R, ASRock Z68M-ITX/HT, Scythe Kozuti cpu cooler, Celeron G530, Crucial 4GB + 2GB Dominator GT (because the other 2GB didn't fit bellow the cooler), Corsair Force F120 on the other side. Sure, i can zip tie some stuff together, but the visual appeareance wouldn't change much. Many cables are either at their max (24-pin, USB to back for the remote), already tied (fan cables), tucked away (front panel cables, CPU 4-pin, USB3 cables to back). As you probably realized, it is hard to do cable management in such small case with no support for cable management. Actually, i was happy to be able to route the 24-pin that way :D.

Sure, sleeving would be nice, but i am a person with manual skills so poor, that i would probably damage the cables in process :D.

Just finished first WCing build, specs in sig, let me know what you guys think.

PS, I'm waiting on a CPU extension cable so don't mind that.:p

Haven't posted my wire management in a while...

And for those who have glass desks with a bit of wire mgmt: (looped wire to the right of desktop is for my XLR microphone)

That looks great, nice job!

Another thing that struck me was how the room looks exactly like the bonus room we had above our garage in one of our past homes. And other than the paint color, I mean exact. You don't live in Michigan, do you? LOL.

Thanks for the kind words! You're right it is a bonus room over the garage! But, alas, I live in SC. This yankee opted for warmer weather during the winter time.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture but its the best ive got right now.

I probably could have done better with the Power HDD and USB wires but it would be to hard to change now.

 where are the wires? :p

lol, some of the extra length of wires is wrapped around the monitor stand. Now for my usb devices, such as the keyboard and mouse, I ran a usb hub up to the bottom of the desk and super glued it upside down. (Underneath the monitor stand.) I wish monitor stands had a built in surge protector with one wire for power and you could use short run power cables to the stand from the monitor.

Now, the Keyboard... It should be a usb devcie hooked into the usb hub which would be powered. Nope... I pulled the usb cable out and broke the usb connector on the midi-keyboard. So I ended up running a power brick, adding a custom lenth of wire to it and it plugs in behind the workstation. I also had to order a custom length midi cable which runs to the back of the sound card.

Now some of the wires such as cat5 and XLR to my monitor stand, I had pull off the base boards and drill behind the wall, and run the extra length behind the wall. Pop back on the base board re-paint it and none would be the wiser!

 a platipus record on the wall!!! big respect.
which one is it (and those next to it) my fellow trancer?

hahaha.... I've deejayed for about 12 years and last year sold all of my decks. (CDJ and Vinyl) My music passions could not compete with corp america and had to give up deejaying. So I framed the 1st 3 records I've ever purchased. Union Jack - Cactus and Morning Glory on Platipus is among them. (Also Transa Prophase and Bodyshock - full moon) I'm not that much into trance anymore, more of a tech house and progressive fan now a days, but as with anything, I listen to music from the good ol days every now and then.

good eye!

That, is an ESI Juli@. It was and probably still is one of the better home-pro sound cards for its combination of features, price, and light resource use.

What a brilliant idea for balanced\unbalanced I\O! I hate my EMU for only beng balanced, and having to pick up an additional $70 worth of filters and cables to make the line unbalanced

Sorry camera/lighting/compression isn't great.
Back is a bit of a mess but it is all cabled tied and clamped for flatness.

I like how you mounted the ssd on the backside.

I also like the white cables. I have a bunch of them waiting for my white switch 810 install (which should be happening tomorrow)

Taken during leak test so motherboard power was disconnected. Just built it today.

Looks sick dude. Yeah, love the white cables. White cases are great too. I'll have to get one some day.

Looks great! Yeah, definitely good to see some high end AMD. I'd affix the pump somewhere though.

Edit: Perfect choice in ram (aesthetically at least)

Thanks for the compliments! The ram is actually velcroed to the PSU. Its not going anywhere. It may seem a little tacky, but this pump has very few mounting options as it has no threaded holes for brackets etc. Im pretty happy with it. It might move though since I will be adding a 240 Rad at the bottom of the case for additional cooling.

The Ram is the Patriot Viper Extreme 1866mhz Ram. My processor cant currently handle any ram higher than 1600, but since I plan on buying a bulldozer CPU, wanted to be ready with the Ram.

I actually shopped around for the most asthetically matched ram that still met my performance needs. I think it matches the MB sinks like a glove :D
