Trendnet unveils 1.3Gbps wireless router using 802.11ac spec

It's going to be years before that's the primary spec. .11ac is a 5Ghz Spectrum tech and after the big push for .11n in the enterprise and personal devices, nobody is going to be anxious to re-buy tech for a while yet.

From the sound of it ..

It should be put through faster actually than N took. I can't wait for it , more speed for wireless in the 5Ghz spectrum is always welcome.

I hope one day I can just use wireless entirely and not have to spend a fortune to get a solid signal and throughput.

As long as everyone has the same goal it will be an eternal problem. There is only so much spectrum to go around...

Heres the big question: Will this be available in the united states??? I didnt read the article but i know the US has some strict guidelines with wireless space

It's unlicensed spectrum, it's the same thing as the 802.11n stuff.

It's awesome, the only con is that you get cancer within 15 years of being exposed to it. :D

That's insane to be pushing that much bandwidth over wireless though. Quite an accomplishment. 10gbit better start getting more affordable. Wireless can't be faster than wired! I did not run all that cat6 for nothing. :D

1.3Gbps. Max. range, 3 feet. ::p

Even if it runs at half speed , it'll still be fast enough for my new connection speed and that is majorly sexy to me.

I don't transfer tons of files across my own internal network so I would prefer to go completely wireless .. but nothing up til now has be able to do the trick.

I heard if you aim your coffee maker the right way it makes random files appear on your desktop.
