Ok so i got the game on a previous steam sale but still haven't got around playing it yet, QBZ pointed me to a rather huge mod list but i got overwhelmed while downloadin half of them from fallout nexus :p I just want to disable mouse acceleration, make the game look 10x times better than the console version, increase fov and keep the rest of experience as authentic as possible,so no gameplay mods for the time being, I already own honest hearts and dead money if that means anything, so where do I begin ? Is something like a "stalker complete" mod compilation out there that focuses on graphics and nothing else ?

J. E. Sawyer, project director for New Vegas (was director of the "original" FO3 before it was cancelled) released his own mod that bends the game more towards his original vision:

It contains many gameplay changes, but these are by the guy in charge of the game. Might make the game rather difficult for a first-time run, but still worth putting in the backlog, as it's very well done and virtually bug-free.

Use - http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=40442 to adjust things like mouse acceleration, FOV and etc. Or you can do it digging through the inis if you prefer.

For graphics the main mod is either NMC or Ojo Bueno for textures (some use both). This is the biggest change graphically of any mod. Start with one of these for sure, and make sure you get the 4gb, might as well use the NVSE version (http://nvse.silverlock.org/) since you'll likely use it for other mods, or the game will crash.

The other mod with the biggest change ot graphics is FNV enhanced shaders, but I thought the effect was "so so" and not worth the performance trade off, this is the mod that gives the biggest performance hit, and I didn't use it.

The other somewhat major visual type mods I have are (I have some other misc ones as well) -

CLO Custom Lighting Overlay
Interior Lighting Overhaul
Nevada Skies URWLified
EVE
Electro City
Directors Chair

For user interface I use a combination of things, DarnUI, extended hud, adjustable Hud, unified Hud (this just enables other mods to work together), pipware and some other mods which are more misc/personal preference.
