Epic Games has given the gaming world a sneak peek at their next project named Fortnite. There is precious little additional information released with the trailer, it’s just a teaser for what you can expect to see and what direction the company will take its next endeavor.

I guess you will be building a fort to survive the night against zombies/monsters. Looks interesting. :)

Lame. Team Fort-Left4Dead.

We haven´t seen the game yet..

The style and atmosphere seems fairly unique, I kind of liked it. But a plain fortified "zombie" shooter, no thanks. There has to be more than that and then some twists and a little edge.

I bet this is where they sto.... er got more of their inspiration from.

LOL @ precious little.

thats exactly what the game is gonna be precious little anything, just like BS (bulletstorm)
It looks like tf2 had sex with borderlands characters on Ue3,

vomitous

I wonder if they can jump?

I'm all for them trying something different, but can't say I'm all that interested from what I saw in the trailer... BUT, I'll wait for some gameplay videos to make any real judgments... there's always a chance they'll come out with something fun

ToyStory with purple zombies............coming to an XBox near you.

Thanks Epic for making your next game which I can't buy due to exclusivity completely unappealing to me. That's very courteous!

Epic should know its place and just make a proper Unreal Tournament game. Gears of War is alright but Epic completely fails at creating good stories and characters, and trying to force its 13-year-old-boy attempts at narrative down gamers' throats isn't very pleasant.

You've got to kidding me. Toony art style. You mean I have to play another zombie game. The whole survive the night sounds like a Minecraft rip off.

I'm sorry but I can't help but feel completely underwhelmed by this especially after the Samaritan demo.

Its probably yet another XBOX exclusive.

Lame. Team Fort-Left4Dead.

Pretty much.

Team Fortress 2 + Left 4 Dead + Minecraft = uninspired zombie game cash in with a rip-off art style. My love for Epic (since the Jazz Jackrabbit and One Must Fall days) has pretty much dissolved at this point.

I wonder if this was Cliffy Douche's idea.

So much for making a game life like, seems they want to go the cartoon route here. I prefer to make games as realistic looking as possible, not cartoony like I'm playing Toy Story. Just my opinion.

Seems like a Minecraft / Terraria clone to me, with modern graphics that will appeal to the masses.

Build buildings, zombies attack at night.

God almighty people. Open up. That was cool looking. I love the change from trying to be realistic to cartoon like. I thought it looked just plain fun.

Bunch of TF elitist bastards. lol

why is everyone saying "zombies"? I thought it was clearly aliens... am I wrong?

Does it really matter?
Doesn't change the fact it looks like ToyStory.

The game play could save it, if it was fun.:D

Co-Op and cooky multi player are a must with the game play for this title to survive

Err, TF2 and L4D made an ugly baby?

Are Epic trying to take a slice of the pie that Valve and the L4D team made?

I'm trying to remember the last Epic game I had bought since 2004, I don't think I have since then.

It looks like an interesting concept. I'm all for something a little different than the norm... can't wait to give it a try.

I believe what we are seeing here is the typical developers-have-babies-then-products-turn-to-baby-goo scenario ;)

Actually i agree with the guy who said "Minecraft+Terraria" waaaaaaaaaaay more than TF2+L4D

That's not to say that this game won't be good. I like the concept...a defensive-based Minecraft style of game would be awesome.

Mix Minecraft + Killing Floor and I'm 100% sold.
