Well if you're in the market for a CrossFire setup or an excuse to buy a bulldozer and not feel terrible about it.

1) Purchase a combination of any two (2) AMD Radeon HD 6850, 6870, 6950, 6970, or 6990 graphics cards from the first list below for CrossFireX configuration.

Haha, luckily I don't game much and am more interested in the Battlelog website's technology and the only way I can get in is to have a copy of the game.

Of course this means I am officially old. But whatever I'm still going to try and hit 5GHz with this chip.
 
Of course, a few hours after I ordered a E3-1230 (xeon version of the i7-2600) for $240 to run all of my virtual machines on... Oh well.

its probably early enough to call whoever and cancel your order. free bf3 is not a small bonus here, id go for it. :)

Don't worry. The power savings from the Intel CPU will probably be enough to pay for a copy of BF3.

The only reason I'm not going to cancel is because the VM performance on my 2500k is absurd... it feels like the host OS. And I want the whole entire setup to be cool and quiet. I was actually looking to order a FX-8120, until I ran into the E3-1230. Also, the motherboard I got was an open box for $75, so considering the FX-8120 + 990 motherboard, the cost of the two aren't too different (minus free BF3).

I'm preoccupied with Skyrim at the moment anyway. And then I have Deus Ex to play through as well. And then Sonic Generations. And by the time I get through those three games, Mass Effect 3 will come out so I'll have to buy Mass Effect 2 and play that first... and so on. :p
 
I was actually thinking about grabbing an 8120 until I saw that you need to buy a motherboard in addition to it. Oh well, not like its much better than my 1100T anyway.
 
Considering $60 for the game, pricing this comes out to about $275 for the CPU/mobo (8-core).

Sad part is I still can't tell if that's a good price or not considering how turd-like the cpu can be :(
