HP Touchpad 16GB $99, 32GB $149, Active for .edu

Well I assume my package has been shipped via FedEx on Saturday but the details still do not resolve, will see what the next few days bring.
Either way I am going to have to be calling their customer service line to get a refund, to get paid back for their free shipping they threw in, as they are charging me for shipping on my order.

mine is out for delivery right now. i expect it to be there when i get off work. y wife already told me she will be using it as soon as it comes.

my wife send me a txt saying it was delivered. only two more hours of work left. counting down the seconds

Got my 2nd 32GB one yesterday, still in the box :)
Still playing with the first one, but may either sell the 2nd or give it as a xmas gift possibly.

So just got an automated e-mail from HP, "Important update about HP TouchPad"

Dear xxxx,

Making sure customers have a positive experience when they purchase our products is a priority for us. In some cases, limited inventory makes it challenging to fulfill all customer orders. As you signed up for updates on the HP TouchPad, we wanted you to know that we are officially out of stock. Some retailers will have some stock available, but our online inventory is depleted.

Thank you for your interest in this product and the feedback you provided. Your input plays a critical role in defining our product roadmap and will help us continue to bring innovative products to market.

Sincerely,
HP

Wow, thanks for the timely and relevant communication, HP! rofl...

Has anyone gotten Android's Splashtop Remote Desktop (nonHD) app to play video on the TP without an audio delay? My audio lags behind about 2 seconds.

BTW, getjar has some great apps for free (Splashtop, Tapatalk, etc), though don't expect updates to them.

the hp i got during the clearance rush, now has a stuck volume up button, and is unusable. :(

Did it work? Mine is kinda flakey, push to turn the volume up and it goes down, have to keep fidgeting with it to get it to turn up.

Guess the QA on these last ones was not the greatest. :(

lol ... thanks for all the bull on more Touchpads at the end of October HP
Glad I could pick up a 16 at the end of September.

I just received shipping confirmations on the two 32GB HP Touchpads.
My cousin is getting one at my cost as he also wanted a cheap tablet.
The other I will keep for development.

Besides the smooth scrolling, alpha 3 was a step backwards for me compared to alpha 2.1 with the SoD fix:
1. Dolphin Mini/HD would force close itself randomly.
2. Vibration seemed to be gone again.
3. Couldn't install apps from Amazon app store. I forgot to check the CM settings so this might be an easy fix.
4. Within two days of use, I got one SoD. With 2.1 + the SoD fix, I have yet to get any (3 weeks).

Just an update.
I took delivery of my two 32GB Touchpads today
via the Palm Developer Device Program

I have installed alpha 3 and I am loving it so far. Swype tech makes posting a lot easier and web pages load correctly!

Yup...I'm on the fence right now. $100 is a good price refurb or not...I'm just a little skeptical I can tolerate 41024x768 instead of a something capable of playing my collection of 720p videos at native resolution. I'd mainly be using this as a portable bluray player and occasional reading (already have a kindle that I love) and gaming.

Someone feel like pushing me off the edge one way or the other?

Have any of you used CM7 XRON: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321335

Do I have to start fresh or can I just update to it like how it is with Alpha 2.1->3.0? I've seen people say both ways work but it might be better to start fresh.

Edit: I did a factory reset after backing up my apps as that seemed to be recommended. Overall, it works great though I dislike the amount of apps preinstalled.
