Eh, I don't much care for zoom and I rarely find myself needing it. I'm more of an up close and personal kind of guy but occasionally on defense I throw the ACOG on if the attacking team is sufficiently suppressed and I'm finding myself engaging them at long range more often.
 
For the past few matches I find myself without even a scope... an SR25 with a bipod and suppressor and I am slaying them left and right.

Ive locked up twice and am running FF7...don't know if that's the cause though.....screen froze and I had to control , alt, delete my way out of it
Im running a 2600K @4.5 and a GTX 580 with the 280.26 drivers
 
The SCAR is bad ass. I still like the Reflex over the ACOG, at least for Operation Metro. I can see myself using an ACOG in conquest though, the zoom will actually be useful there.
 
This is a joke. Accuracy and damage is so inconsistent. Really annoying. A guy goes prone 50 yards out and I pop in the head 5 times. No death, yet he kills me in 2 seconds.

The PK-A is better IMO, because the ACOG has all those lines that get in the way of my view. The PK-A just has a red ^ arrow. Also, the 3.4x zoom is the sweet spot for medium ranged, perfect for assault rifles.

Oh and IRNV in the tunnels = beastly
 
Definitely some fish stuff going on now. Hackers or something. I put two full mags into one guy and he didn't even take damage. This was from 5ft away. No crazy lag either. This guy was like 33-12 too.

There is a decent learning curve; once you get it though it it's damn rewarding.

And I have to seriously question all 5 senses of those who think this plays, feels and/or looks like BC2.

Once these kids play Caspian they will see how different the gun play is from BC2.

It's called a bug. I had it happen too.
 
Anyone crashing to desktop still? At least they fixed the saving of stats so I don't level up to the same rank over and over...

and? I never got that crap. Cause a person has a higher score than anyone on a team hes a hacker? Now yes if it was 33-1 then yes, I'd throw the Hax card too..

I went 46-13 am I a Hacker? :p

Trust me, its a bug in the netcode, just like getting shot through the rock on the attackers side. :) (that one is a pretty funny bug tho, of your on the giving end. ;) )
 
The squad system they have in place is gay. I can understand that they don't want clans making it not fun for the mass for the beta... but it's still gay.
 
The GPU benchmark seems pretty spot on. I guess EA was right when they said gtx 580 SLI is needed for smooth gameplay (60 FPS average) at max settings.

Just because they hack/exploit doesn't mean they can't be killed. It's the fishy things that I didn't experience before that raise eyebrows. And the inconsistencies really annoy me.

I was 26-3 earlier. I got all the way up to 25-1 until we were taking the last two objectives in Metro. Damn.


I've noticed a lot of inconsitencies. I've been using Recon with a sniper rifle, and sometimes you shoot guys in the head area and they just don't die. I've shot people 3 or 4 times and they don't die. I don't know what's up with that.

And I'm also bummed about how bad the M40A5 sniper rifle has turned out to be. The SV98 is a good one shot killer. Reminds me of the AWP in Counterstrike. The M40A5 doesn't give consistent one shot kills, and it has really bad bullet drop in comparison.
 
One thing I'm noticing, hit registration is so, so, sooooo much better than BC2's.

Yeah, you can rambo it a little if you're in the right mind set.

Last destruction target, unload a clip from the rifle, swap out, two pistol kills, and dead.

There were 7 bastards near me.

That shit wouldn't have happened in BC2, because the bastard medics with LMGs would have just sprayed in to oblivion.
 
After playing BC2 for the last year I can't say I'm enjoying this as much. I hope I like the full game better but there's just too much sniping going on. I hate prone. 80% of the games I'm in neither team ever makes it even half way through the level. It's retarded.

Speaking of uber BC medics... Does anyone know if there is an MG36 in this game?

I don't like the classes as much either. Something about assault medics that just stinks to me. Seems like everyone is playing either Assault or Sniper.

Anyone notice "shotgun kill lag" for lack of a better term?
I was getting killed fairly often by someone with an 870, but I would die 1 or 1.5 sec after they shot at me (in CQC). I thought they might be hacking, but then I noticed the same thing happened when I killed someone with an 870. There didn't appear to be a delay with any of the assault rifles though.

The attackers always lose because the level is very unbalanced, and it is a giant funnel. Unless you get stacked teams or a bunch of people working together the attackers have no chance. Personally I am only taking away gameplay mechanics from my time on Metro, because Caspian is so, so different.
 
My only minor bitching is the people die alittle too fast. I got some great kills by using my primary and then quickly switching to my secondary.

I am already addicted to the beta. This is bad because I haven't been this badly addicted since battlefield 2 and bad company 2.


Also does anybody know howmany lumens is on the light attachment? I swear I can go blind in real life if I stare at it too long.
 
Played a few hours tonight and got tons of hacker accusations thrown at me...its rather rediculous...
