I just fired up Netstumbler on my laptop and was amused by some of the SSIDs:


  • bigstinky
  • contagion
  • brutus
  • virus
  • linksys (OK, not very original)
  • 644north
What's yours?

Tons of "2WIRE____" entries, and a few "Belkin____" entries.
 
Stormwind. Original, I know.

Blankets the entire neighborhood for whatever reason since I have so many APs.

No one will get this so I'll just spill the beans...

It is the "real" Nuclear Launch Code that started the shit-storm in the movie "Crimson Tide".
 
I remember that now. I haven't seen Crimson Tide in like a year, but I do remember that. Nicely done.
 
Mine is extnetwork, kinda straight to the point. I'd have to do something more original. I think next time I log into the router I'll rename it to "wireless". :D
 
CiscoD9563. best name i could come up with. :D actually thats what it was when i moved in. i'll change it someday when i think of a decent name.

I use 'virus' when running a hotspot with PDAnet and Connectify

I like "click for Identity Theft" though, I might have to steal that one lol

For the house, it's called "TheMatrixPlanet"... I have no idea why, my roomate's old landlord set it up and just haven't bothered changing it (I'm normally the one maintaining the network in the house)
