AMD's website itself approximates 8 core BD's price at $300

pricing was leaked a couple months ago.. the 8150P was priced at $320 MSRP. with the 4 core(2 module) chips going as low as 150 dollars.

I've seen plenty of leaks but with all the B.S. out there I never really considered it confirmed till I saw this. We all sort of assumed they were correct but I still took it with a grain of salt. A big one.

the advantage was the pricing was accidentally leaked by one of the motherboard manufactures. but either way the prices were in line with what they should be. bulldozers meant to compete with LGA-1155 sandy bridge and given the fact that AMD has always been price competitive the $320 for their flagship processor sounds about right. if the performance is there it'll definitely give the 2600k a run for its money and start a nice pricing war.

Off topic a little bit, from the comic for that Giveaway:

that website looks strangely familiar...

They should've named it killdozer after that crazy thing that dude built a few years back when he went on a rampage smashing buildings around town.

210 contracts buy at 0.30 sell at 0.81. You've made my day AMD, now please release Bulldozer so I can throw money at your stuffz using the profitz, thankz.

Not sure if this has become "official" yet so forgive me if this is a waste of a post. Just noticed while reading the contest rules to win a BD, AMD states the retail value is around $300.

"7. Prizes:

Top tier prizes: Five (5) AMD FX series eight-core processors. Approximate Retail Value: $300 USD each.

Yes and this is a great giveaway, unless you get the second tier prize....:
Second tier prizes: One hundred (100) collectible Ruby dolls. Approximate Value: $25 USD each.
.[/I]"
What kind of fucking manly prize is a RUBY DOLL?
I don't know if I want to enter on the off chance of winning and having my name listed with a RUBY DOLL prize.

even though leaked sources said $320 for the 8150,this giveaway could be just an 8100 model right?
so we still know nothing

Ruby inflatable doll...

Think of the possiblities

A. Keep in mind that any price used in a contest is never an exact price, that is just a number to make the lawyers happy.

B. My boss just came back from comic con and I am willing to bet that she would will say there is a huge market for ruby dolls after this past weekend.

No matter how you put that, it still seems kinda creepy...

Well hello there Mr. AMD. Good to see you.

Is there anything new youre able to tell us or hint at? Specifically, what we all really want to know is how is the singlethreaded performance going to be. Do gamers have reason to be excited?

Help me get pumped for a new AMD product, JF!!

I really hope I don't win that. I don't want to have to explain it to anyone and just throwing it out seems like a waste.
