Windows Server 2003 - 2008 Information

I need to get some experience with these two OS, and I'm looking for any sites that you all may be using for training. I'm getting ahold of the VHDs, so I'll be able to use them outside of work. I just need to brush up on account security, active directory services etc.

Best way to learn an OS is to install it and mess with settings, IMO. Some people may believe guides are the answer, but I just never got value from them. Google Search things you don't understand.

I learned as much in a month of testing myself in real world scenario as I did in 4 years of school. The school helped me know exactly where to start in the real world. Both are important but one you can do for free.

I'll be in a production enviroment at work, so I can't just "mess with settings". I guess I'll just pick up some books off Amazon.

I'd advise, at the very least, setting up VirtualBox and a couple 2003/2008 instances to muck about with. There are some hidden gotchas that will bite you if you don't know what to be careful of. Books aren't nearly as useful and hands on experience.

Yeah, that's the idea. I am planning on getting them setup using VPC via Windows 7 and playing with them that way. I've got an excellent mentor, but I don't want to rely on him entirely, it's not exactly fair.
