Wait to buy macbook air?

I see that macbook air still uses c2d.

Are there any rumors or news that says that they're going to upgrade that to i3 or anything?

I'm wondering if I should wait to buy a macbook air or just purchase it now. I'm willing to wait around 6 months if there's any news that apple is going to up it to i3.


So should I wait or buy it now?
 
Almost a sure thing that there'll be a refresh within the next few weeks.

Rumor has it that we'll see a Sandy Bridge based MacBook Air in as soon as the middle of this month along with OS X Lion.
 
I've read that July 14 is the date for both OS X Lion and the refreshed Macbook Air with Sandy Bridge. It's also supposed to employ a better version of the Samsung/Toshiba-sourced SSD that Apple uses.

Unless you can get like a super-great deal on an existing generation Air you'd do better to wait.

Yeps, wait it out. Tons of rumors stating that Apple is sandbagging the release of a bunch of their hardware until Lion is out. Lion is coming out in a week or so which means hardware refreshes for the mac mini, macbook air and mac pro will soon follow.
 
Yep. Refresh imminent. I LOL'ed at my coworkers who just went out and bought 11 and 13" MBAs. These are total Apple fanboys, should have known better.

Well if they were true fanboys they'd know about an imminent refresh you'd think.

That's not really how they think. They may know about it, but they don't care. They have to have the newest NOW. lol They'll just buy the new MBA's when they're released again. I would know. I have friends who are just the same. :rolleyes:

If the new MBAs get released within two weeks of their purchase they will get to trade theirs in ;)
