Yes. Although I'm a huge sucker for large sandbox games. I believe the island is 400sq miles, that you can explore at free will. Doing missions for 3 different factions and your 'agency'.

If you like running around and blowing stuff up, hijacking cars/trucks/boats/planes/jets you'd probably have a fun time.

There are tons of bases around the island that you blow up and get 'upgrade boxes' and such, to get to 100%, I've played for ~8 hours now and completed 6 bases, I believe there's 368 total.

I really like the game. Definitely worth $5
 
Anyone else have steam revert back to day 1 deals? I was able to see day 2 for 2 minutes now can only see day 1 deals again.

They can continue doing so as long as they want, I'm not picking up MW2 or BO until they hit $15 or less. Whether I wait a week or years, I don't really care. :)
As far as I'm concerned, getting MW1 in the complete pack for ...$29 I think? (or grabbing it by itself when it's $15) is the best CoD related purchase anyone can ever make.

They just added KOTOR for $2.49 with "franchise sale" on it. (that's the missing square in the above picture)

that's on your end. I have had it installed on 3 different builds and I don"t recall ever having a crash with over 100 hours of playtime. if anything JC 2 is one of the most stable and bug free games I have ever played which is amazing considering its size.

I bit too. Bought the 4-pack ($5.50/copy), and gave two copies to my nephews, and the last to a buddy so we can co-op.
 
Jumped on the Heroes V pack... game and all DLC plus Messiah for 5 bucks? yeah... throwback to the old days when i used to play HOMM2 and mass up black dragons :)

Hopefully this one is good too.
 
Best deals of the day (if you don't already own them)...Braid, GTA Classics, JC2.
 
Can't believe they took out the original Dawn of War from the THQ pack...

Anyway, is any of the Just Cause 2 DLC worth it or should I just grab the core game and call it a day?

I bought all but the cavalier and rico gun the other day while not thinking about the sale coming up :( They seem pretty decent, and I think you can get all of them for like, $2.50? I say why not.

I had a lot of fun with the Monster Truck and Hovercraft and I paid full price for them, so yea, I would say they are worth it at $0.25 That aerial pack looks kind of temping..

Not sure if its ALL worth it, but I doubt it will ever be any cheaper than this, for an extra $2.23, I said what the hell, seems like some fun stuff to mess around with.
 
In for Just Cause, Braid, Force Unleashed II, and KOTOR...played it on Xbox way back but would definitely like to replay it before SWTOR comes out...wish they had KOTOR II on Steam :(

Also probably going to grab all the Just Cause 2 DLC now that it's cheap.

I kind of want to check out Devil May Cry 4 but $10 still seems a little steep for a game this old now...it really should be hitting the $4.99 mark consistently now :(
 
Bought Longest Journey, Dreamfall, and three ticket games (Toki Tori, Swords & Soldiers, and Lead and Gold) from yesterday. Not sure if I'll buy anything today.
 
Only baught Braid and Spacechem for $7.58. That's a good thing considering I spent almost $100 on games yesterday. I'm sure a few of the ones I got I could have waited to potentially be a daily deal but why wait and risk it when most were 50-75% off anyway.

For those on the fence, get Just Cause 2 and the DLC. It is deffinetely worth it and it works in Eyefinity. I play with both kb/mouse and my 360 controller for the aircraft. I did have an issue using both where I would have to perform certain button combos to pull a guy out of a car during a mission and I couldn't see the prompts, but there is a simple fix (I just don't remember what it is).

$8 for the PS(2) era GTA games is a steal too, although GTA 1& 2 R* gives away for free already.
 
Do people still play Star Wars Empire at War or Battlefront II online, or should i just get KOTOR?

Never played either however I got KOTOR at xmas and for some reason it crashes whenever I enter the start new game screen on my laptop (G-73 in sig). I tried it twice and gave up as I had tons of games in my backlog to try rather than mess with KOTOR as much as I want to try it.

Okay, I take everything back. I upped my factory-undervolted GTX570 to 1.025v, and now it plays like a gem. Worth every penny, and then some!

Now about the DLC. I'm near the beginning of the game, where you tether a tractor to a guy's car. If I buy the DLC, will those items become available right away, or will I only be able to access them later on? Not sure how that all works.

the DLC items are available through the black market which you will have access to later.
 
There is a nice widescreen patch for KOTOR on WSG. There is also a patch to fix the crashing. KOTOR is great if you want to see where Mass Effect came from, and a good game in its own right.

Yes. I've had to restart Steam a few times to get Oblivion downloaded... kinda annoying.

Between JC1 and JC2, are they basically the same game? Am I going to hate myself for not buying and beating JC1 before JC2?
 
Not going to bite on any of the daily deals today since I just picked up Civ 5 on GamersGate for $11!
 
For a few hours I could only download my games at like 150k when I've seen it max out at 1.3MB before... gotta be thousands of people taking advantage of these deals. Didn't have to restart Steam but I did manually pause and resume the games to get them going again

I'm getting a good 600-700k. I've hit 1.2MB regularly. This is annoying. Borderlands is done, though, gonna check it out.
 
For those just discovering Just Cause 2:

I recommend the Increased Grapple Range and Speed, Everything Unlockable Black Market, and maybe unlimited ammo. Be warned with the God Mode mod, if a heavy attack helicopter attacks you, it is nearly imposible to get away cause your body goes into rag doll mode bouncing down hills and all over the place as they keep shooting you. Your only hope is to break line of sight and grapple away or prey they blast you into deep water and go away. I have been in rag doll mode for up to 15 mins before I gave up and reloaded a save. It's still awesome though! :D Give the Superman/Iron man mods a chance too. Add in a Gundum type rocket launcher on your arm and it is fucking epic!
