I order a benq xl2410t from benq.com which came with one dead pixel in the right center/middle of the screen. Also the metal bracket where you plug the DVI cable was loose. Manufacture date: March 2011.

I setup an RMA and they next day cross shipped a brand new unit. On the second monitor Manufacture date: December 2010 the dead pixel is located on the right of the screen towards the bottom. The metal bracket seems to be installed fine.

Anyone else report any dead pixels with their xl2410t? So far I'm happy with the support from Benq but I'm just wondering what the likely hood of receiving two different monitors with pixel issues.

After having both the viewsonic 2265wm, samsung 2233rz and the lg 23wd this is the monitor to get. The built in scaling with aspec ratio is awesome :)

I dont have any dead pixels on the one I got. Could just be bad luck.

Mine had a stuck red pixel, but most XL2410T owners here seem to have received monitors with no dead pixels.

I think its just a bad batch. I remember when i first got my viewsonic monitor i went threw the whole entire shipment, and then finally ended up taking the one on display.

How do these monitors fair in terms of colors once you calibrate them? I have heard both bad and good, someone else said the preset you were on either enable or disabled color control.

It's a TN but once calibrated ( I used a combination between tftcentral.co.uk plus another dude on youtube ) and it looks pretty good. I can't remember but I think it's FPS mode that prevents a lot of tinkering but I you can turn on all the important stuff in other modes anyway. They even have 2 "user" profile, so you can basically change on the fly if you are using it for games or for movies.

My previous screen was IPS and I notice this is not as vibrant overall but it's still good and I can't complain.

Yeah I haven't heard many issues with XL2410T with dead pixels. It could be just bad luck. Did you contact BenQ regarding the dead pixel on the 2nd unit you received?
Glad you had a positive experience with BenQ, because there seems to be much more complaints regarding their service. I personally feel BenQ is a bit slower on the responsive end when dealing with RMAs, but I always felt it was probably due to a lower US presence.

Glad you enjoying everything else though! I always point out this monitor's scaling ratio abilities which allows you to switch between wide screen to 4:3 with the OSD. It is quite awesome and useful when it comes to gaming. Yeah the memory of setting is sweet too.

rmp459 how are you finding the 120hz? Any input lag or ghosting or lagging of any sort? Some reviews have reported that its one of the slowest TN panels out there which I found to be quite ridiculous.

Regarding colors do you find it to be a bit washed out since it uses white LED backlighting?

Btw, am I the only one that loves the sturdy build and stand of the BenQ XL2410T? You get so much movement. The base is so large and stable. It's VESA friendly. It's adjustable in so many ways. I love it.

My second benq has been returned. Instead of wasiting my time they basically told me they can not guarantee one without a dead pixel.

My first one had no dead pixels (but other more serious issues after a day of use), and my second one is perfect.

Why didnt you like the LG? what exact model did you have? I just ordered the LG W2363D-PF mostly because benq only has a 1 year warranty on the xl2410t and to me that was very worrisome since all their monitors have a 3 year. Makes me feel like even benq does not trust this thing to last. Also I heard about lots of dead pixel and discolored bars on the edges of the benq

The text was horrible on the LG and there was no way to change it.

I believe the poor text is due to overdrive so is there no way to turn the overdrive off?

Are you sure that's 3 years warranty in the US?
