LIAN LI PC-V350 !!!

Thank you for the image, that should help a lot :D

Not sure about the two separate rads performing better, everything I've seen leads me to think its the other way around (assuming both types of rad are the same thickness and fin density).

Yeah, performance may vary. But, in the end, it's practically the same. And, since I already had these two 120mm Black Ice rads layng around I thought I would use them. And the space between them really came in helpful when it was time to hide some cables, and it doesn't affect the airflow.

would someone recommend a good heatsink for a 1090t in this case? i have the v351, but they seem to be the same with internal space.

The biggest "tower" HS you could fit should be a Noctha NH-U9. As per "flat" HS you should be able to flit most of them...

thanks. i had seen mention of a few noctua's here in various threads, but hadnt fully looked into my options and reviews and all that.

With the Corsair H100 coming out, do you think the 240 front rad grill will fit? appears to be about 5mm shy of the width of the 350 and 351. Can't wait for this thing to be modded in.

It will fit. The H100 is 275mm long. I have a 279mm EK radiator in the front of my V351 (very tight fit, 1mm clearance between each side panel). See here for some pics in my worklog: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/showthread.php?t=947398

I wonder if it could be as easy as getting those same brackets, drilling out the front bracket. and riveting that H100 into the the same spot. Looks pretty much like what you did. Only without the whole setup. Hrmmm.. Could also do a push pull as well. Do you have your setup exhausting out the front?

Otherwise i was thinking of just cutting the current bracket to fit. What do you think since you've done pretty much exactly what I plan on doing. Probably easier to just replace the bracket as a whole. Can't seem to find them online though, do you have a link? Thanks =)

The brackets are made by XSPC. Many online stores that sell watercooling carry XSPC gear. I got mine from here (note: this is an Australian online store): http://www.gammods.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_267&products_id=3137

I have mine intake though the front and bottom (there is ventilation along the floor of the case between the rad and front panel) then exaust out the rear 80mm. You can do push\pull but you will need to remove the side USB ports to make it fit. If you go for push pull you will be limited to video cards around 250mm in length (230mm if the connector is on the end of the card). With only 1 set of fans you can mount the rad closer to the front of the case if you wish.

Can some one tell me what the tallest graphics card you can fit in here is?

I have an MSI GTX 460 Cyclone and the heatsink pipes are too high so I can't fit it into the case!

Hi guys sorry I know this thread is really old I've read it through twice now.
I've fell in love with v351 and brought it :)

I'm running a 2500k and looking for a quiet cooler for over clocking.
If someones willing to sell me a backplate or can supply me with a dxf file?

Lian-Li does sell extra components and accessories for their cases so check with them if you need parts. Not sure what a dxf file is.

Haha
Thanks for the reply.....
I'm after the custom backplate design people
Have been using not the standard one.
A dxf file is a very common cad file that I
Could use to cnc one .
I'm a cnc programmer and setter
which is quite useful

Yes, I do. I check every two/three days. I think this area of the forum has been a little quieter these days since I think most people waiting to build SFF's are waiting for ivy bridge

Are there any people that can share the drawing for custom backplate still around?

It would be awesome!

I can confirm to any one interested the h100 fits easily.
I have it held in place by 2 elastic bands blowing out the front.
I5 2500k overclocked to 4.6 idles 30 degrees without backplate mod
very happy is very quiet had to do volt mod on pump and is now silent

All I've done is remove the 2 front fans and just rested
the h100 in there place. held with 2 elastic bands either side :)
Couldn't be easier no modifications!

I can't work out how to upload pictures in this forum! Help

You have to upload the photo to facebook or a photo share website. Then you get the URL link from the properties and post the URL link in your reply using the "Insert Image"

sorry my camera is so blurry but probably a good thing as my cable management could be better!
when i can be bothered to open the other side ill put it up.
The last photo shows the h100 in place

Ive lowered my overclock on my 2500k to 4.3ghz with a DVID -0.30v.
This thing is rock stable and temps never get over 65 degrees.
Its the best case Ive ever had the photos don't do it justice

Thanks for posting the pics.

I'm interested in this case with the Corsair h100 radiator like you have done.

Do you have your fans on it setup as exhaust or intake?

The fans are setup to blow through the radiator
Pushing the air through the front vents as an exhaust .
The hdd fan isn't attached and I can feel the air
Being sucked through it with my hand.
The psu is blowing normal direction out the back.
I tried it as an experiment and haven't thought
It worth while to change it as it seems to do the trick.

I had to do the volt mod trick on it look in the overclocking
Forum to see what I'm on about.
Now its silent with stock fans.
Sound really bothers me so guage it by that.

here's mine so far. just waiting on some extra fittings and some harddrives, since i decided against doing copper lines. this will be primarily used as a hackintosh server (thus the gigabyte board). also, if anyone is interested... im selling the front panel, both side panels, and everything that comes internally with it (just received the case yesterday)

its a pretty tight fit and i had that same issue. i was able to stuff the cables between the two drives and that gave me enough space to pull it off

thank you for the response tristan! i will try again later tonight.

i have a few more questions though...

is there a way to make the drive cage doors stay on better? im not using any cd drives or floppy drives. the drive cage doors are only secured by aligning them with the balls but a simple push can knock them out of its place.

also, this was probably discussed before but im having trouble finding an answer, how can i have better airflow in the case without modifying the interior design and without cutting up my case. the heat coming from my cpu seems to just sit and linger there...

(when i got this case, the back exhaust fan was actually blowing air into my hard drives. shouldnt it be the other way around?

for the cage doors, i dont know what to tell you. perhaps they are just loose from whatever the previous owner did. mine stay in easily but mine was new when i got it. you could try bending them outward a bit. that may help.

i missed all the stuff about airflow, so other than replacing fans i dont have any suggestions on that.

and finally, for your hard drive fan...just turn it around if youd like it to blow the other way. im not home to check mine, but i think its blowing away from the hard drives.

Would anyone here be able to measure the width of the HDD bracket used in the V350/V351 case?

Here is the image with the measurement I am interested in:

Hello everyone,

I back this thread because I will soon recover a V351 and I intend to make the same change which some "Tremeloes" (cf. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1208245&page=30) especially at of the rear plate.
Is that some still have the file to make the plate? I found a file but it seems that this is not the latest model.

Thank you in advance.

Nikhola.

Hey guys, I am sorry to bump this old thread up .. but I have an urgent query which I'd really appreciate if someone can answer.

I am a very happy Lian-Li V350 customer but today my graphic card ATI 5850 gave up on me. It was about time I needed an upgrade anyway.

Now I just wanted to know if my cabinet can accommodate an ATI 7850?

Thanks in advance!!

^^ Just like the 5850 .. I believe 480gtx is also discontinued. Can you confirm if 7850 will fit into it?
