Corsair: 650D

i'll wait and see the reviews on the h100. If it beats the silver arrow i'll be giving it a try.. probably with some noiseblocker fans.

i got enough of them :)

Here is the official Computex site:

Taipei is exactly 12hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time so about 10pm tonight product previews will begin, Hurray!

Intel X79 Mobos
Sandy Bridge E LGA2011 CPUs
Corsair Quad Channel Memory
Corsair Platinum Grade Power Supplies
Corsair H80 and H100 Hydro Coolers
Corsair Link Device and software

Mr. Redbeard is in Taipei, do you think there is any chance a new Corsair chassis could be announced?

Corsaor 810D
Revamped 800D with dual 120/140 fans or single 200mm front intake fan
USB3,0 mobo header connectors
Built in 8 fan controller, But control for each fan individually
Different color HDD activity LED instead of white Power and white HDD led.
(User can exchange the color by simply pulling it out and replacing w/ color of their choice)

:D

I'm curious myself on the corsair link devices and h100.

I had this case for about two days before i ended up returning to store.

While it looks nice and it's easy to work with, the noise generated, even with the fan kit fix installed, for me, was insane.

At least, if it had improved temps over my current case, an antec p183... but not even that, as difference was only -2c for cpu and -5c for gpu, with the mentioned alot more noise.

Thats odd, I can barely hear my fans, But I use a lamptron fan controller, But even when I tried 4 fans connected to the built-in controller, I didnt notice my fans that loud.

It's pretty subjective. I think mine are not necessarily loud (they were with the buzzing from the original fan set up), but I still want them more quiet.

If there really is an "810D" then damn...I know I am going to want it.

LOL on the 810D, That was something I made up, A *WISH* case ;), Sorry to get ya turned on by it HEHE

This is my new fav video card, I packed up my 2nd 6870, to return and am gonna just run a single card until the die shrink, AMD series 7000 or Nvidia series 600, then get into one of these Asus triple slot cards. Should be more than enough video power for office apps and an occasional game.

I cant imagine putting 2 of those in

I probably need to upgrade to a 1080P IPS monitor before I buy another video card. I think about getting another GTX460 and running SLI, but part of me says to just wait until the next generation of cards.

I can run most things maxed out or pretty darn closed to maxed out at 1680x1050. I'm sure are other upgrades I should go for first. Once you get that upgrade bug, you just don't ever want to stop...

Naw, I'm just gonna run one triple slot and use my current Asus 6870 DCU in a secondary rig, up early 5am looking for Computex news so far just a mess of new tablets coming out. I'll post some links here when the really interesting gear gets announced ie: Corsair platinum 850w, and that Obsidian 810!;)

You're going to buy that for office apps?
That's a serious waste of money, man!

Asus boards always look so great, this one very ho hum, the X79socket looks massive and I like the double latches but ONLY 4Dimm slots? Hopefully the Rampage 4 Extreme will look much better. Quad-Channel memory, but only one module per channel? That ain't good!

Sure hope these boards look alot better before they are released in Aug/Sept, ugh!

fantomau,

If you are really dying to get into an AX850, then by all means pick one up, I was just suggesting you wait, since you had expressed interest in the "Corsair Link" device and I was told the AX series will NOT support Corsair Link, yet the new Platinum Series will. I don't know all the details yet but would love to be able to adjust the psu fan up or down and read various temps inside, but your choice man!

You are right Eluder, I don't plan on buying a GTX580 for $599, I just want to get into one of the Asus triple slot cards, after the next die shrink AMD 7000 series or Nvidia 600 series, not for $599 more like $279, like the current Asus 6950 triple slot. But hey in all honesty do I need to spend 3Grand on a pc and peripherals, just for office apps, oh hell no, I could get my work done on a $300 Dell Optiplex, but that wouldn't be any fun now would it?;)

Here is Mr. Redbeard, going over Corsair Link in detail from his hotel room, Hey George!!!

http://youtu.be/cvstl-8_lmE

That add-on looks really nice. Now if all the fans are plugged into that is there a hardware "pass through" on the fan speed monitor so that maybe you could plug something into the motherboard and it not complain when there's no CPU fan detected?

Here is some good news, H100 will support Corsair Link, available in June and a suggested retail of $119USD, that means $99 no tax free shipping from Amazon, I'm in baby!!! Those eight mounts look like a perfect fit for the 650D...Pretty sure you can mount either 2 or 4 fans, Nice!;) Be great if it came with some long Corsair gromms instead of hard metal screws...

I'm more interested in the H80 as the H100 will likely be overkill for my rig.
Hmm, SRP is only a $10 difference between the two, for that kinda price diff, would be a far better buy to go with the H100.

BTW, it does support 4 fans from the looks of it as the block has connectors for 4 fans while the H80 has connectors for 2 fans.

where do you guys get the info about the new coolers?

is there any chance for a cooler supporting current gpu's or is that too complicated for mass production

Those 10 extra dollars buy you a lot more flexiblity and surface area, I think I would find a nice little spot up top in the 650D. Wish they would produce a gpu block that could be used with the h80 in the rear! Wishful thinkin'...

So the H100 is coming in June? or is that the corsair link coming in june?

Will the Plat series be completely modular like the AX series?

very cool!
damn makes the choice harder---get the carbide + h100 or 650d + h50....choices choices....

ok.. so Corsair pretty much just snuck into my wallet and took money for the h100 and the Corsair link with lights.

I'm wondering though, how thick is the rad on the h100? Will it fit the 650d with 25mm fans in push/pull?

I also need to figure out where i can mount that sexy looking Link box to be visible from the window on the 650d...

sorry dude, gotta watch my english, the H100 and H80 out in June.

Corsair Link if you watch Mr. Redbeard's video on this page, I think he says Aug/Sept says they are still working out bugs in the software right now.

I am just concerned with the pump noise, anyone have an H60 or H70 is the pump loud? I can buy new better quieter fans but I can't change the pump noise.

Did you guys watch Mr. Redbeard's video?

I knew that brushed aluminum link box would catch faulkton's eye, isn't that great looking? Hmmmmmm so many possibilities, maybe it would fit in place of your top mesh in the front dude? Naw that wouldnt look good.

Yup I think I just lost $250 to Corsair also, and if they announce the platinum PSUs this week well that's another $200, damn!;)

650d + h100 :)

Crap, I went and got a good night's sleep and missed everything!;) Those two new PSUs are great ideas, but I hope they are not just placating us, because they don’t have the Platinum Series ready yet. Many other companies are already producing and selling Platinum Grade psus, but with Corsair it's worth the wait. I shouldn’t complain the AX850 with the hybrid-silent fanless fan and sexy looks is the best PSU out there right now, not the most powerful though, InMyHumbleOpinion. But man will I be disappointed if they don’t announce a Platinum 850w, 1000w and 1200w Seasonic-based fully-modular Hybrid fan, Corsair Link Compatible Series this week. "I wanna plug my PSU into Corsair Link."

650D + H100 + Corsair Link with Lighting + PX850watt + Asus Rampage 4 + Sandy E LGA2011 + Corsair Quad Memory, yeah that's the ticket!
