EA pwned battlefield 3 exclusive

The flash suppressor concept for the sniper class is kinda cool.

I think whats interesting is that they go over the history and you see its ups and downs.

Generally speaking they try to use every game as an opportunity to add something new that gamers want.

With 1942 its like you've started with just a car engine then as time goes on you're adding the chassis, wheels, rotors, etc. Yeah over time things get removed and readded but its still an evolution with every game.(here's the harp playing) With the Cod series especially after 4 the cars built and its like they just gave it to their kid who only knows how to add spinners and poke holes in the mufflers so it goes "woo-woo" and just annoys the shit out of everyone.

Shes ok. yeah I said it

Any chick interested in cars (or in the case of nerds, computer games) is immediately twice as attractive, even if she's just faking it :p Though I do like the accent, lol.

13 minutes into this preview video and there's already been mention of two separate "packs." ??

My thoughts as well. I'm really looking forward to this title, but sounds like they already have DLC created and ready for deployment...

"no one is safe behind cover" - Game of the year.

Eh, I'm probably in the minority on this but one of the things I don't like about BC2 is that cover doesn't do all that much. You can never consider a certain direction to be safe. The system also encourages people to use anti-tank and 40mm grenades over normal guns. I feel like in BF2, one of the things that separated good players from bad players was how they used cover to minimize the chances of getting shot from directions they weren't focusing on. It was a major part in the strategy of the game. I like the destruction though, so I guess my ideal is that they use destruction to keep the maps dynamic, but maybe deal significantly less damage when a wall gets taken out next to you. (I never camp btw, I'm always moving in a battlefield game)

I actually think the system of destructible terrain makes that element of using cover to block enemy fire more interesting and dynamic. You might crouch behind a wall knowing that bullets aren't going to penetrate it, but then have in the back of your mind if a tank fires at it then you'll have to get moving. Then you always have terrain which is immovable that you can hide behind as well.

Having destructible terrain doesn't make using cover obsolete, it makes it more interesting.

That's how I feel about it anyway ;)

That chick is annoying as hell. No interest in the game. Just paid to stare at the camera.

Awesome footage and info :) thanks for the link.

Also, i would wreck that chick.

I think the chic is in the wrong industry; she looks more like a porn star.

Anyways, where the fuck is the netcode guy(s)? Because that is one thing that seriously need to be fixed with their games. They start out with good code then slowly make it worse. Nothing pissed me off more in 2142 and BC2 when I am hitting someone and they do not register a hit. Especially, when it is a shell from a from a 120mm cannon point blank!

Oh, and do a remake of 2142 FFS!

Spent more time looking at the girl rather than the game. That ain't right, she should be sacked

Oh man, 2142 would be amazing with frostbite 2.0 or 2.5 (whatever they move to after BF3)

As long as they integrate a working in game voip system and friends list that allows more than 20 players. I think we will be fine. Joining servers your friends are playing on was made simple in 2142, tried playing some BF2 the other day and the first thing I tried to do was open the friends list to see where my buds were playing, and then it hit me. :(

Yes :(

I have a Russian SKS and it's a nice gun. But it's not definitely not sniper rifle

Come now, even he recognized it wasn't a full on sniper rifle. They are trying to get away from sniper hill in BC2. They want more tactical team play action and want a semi-sniper for some squad play.

That chick is super hot

But she sucks at reporting. I really hate it when companies hire people with no talent or interest just because they are "hot". There are a million other superficial good looking females out there. I don't go to a site for gaming news to watch someone be attractive. If I wanted that, there's a whole internet out there filled with media full of attractive women.

TLDR; Don't encourage them.

You nerds need to zip your pants up, that woman is ok looking, but not worth cleaning off your monitor from overshooting

Plus she is just a robot, doubtful she's a true gaming chick. Would rather they hire a BBW hardcore gaming girl instead.

Pretty excited for BF3 from all the videos that have been posted. I never liked Bad Company 1 or 2 but I understand that Bad Company is its own thing. Is there still a lot of people playing Battlefield 2? I was considering picking it up on Steam so I can get a feel for BF before I get this beast.

Edit - Obligatory "that chick was hot" comment

Yeah. Seemed more like they were treating it like a DMR than a true sniper rifle. I'm ok with that.
