I made a decision as Major or Corsair Lake and have given notice to the occupants of said buildings.

I do not approve of this.

her buildings are fine as they are.

the Lake, is still a lake...

Total BS if you tear these down.

What gives you any right to tear down anyone's buildings? You may claim to be a Mayor of the city but that is Bullshit. If you wanna be mayor of something then do it in real life. As for Minecraft, People are free to build what they want, when ever and where ever they want. Deal with it.

Also I have played on the server a lot longer then you have. Therefore I shouldn't have to ask if i can build something.

My transport system experiment failed again... This time it didn't even move them one cm. Just destroyed a hill :(

Can we put this failed transport system experiment to work in removing some hills near the airport?:D

BTW, the air traffic control tower is up and constructed!

Actually building within the water was forbidden for as long as the lake has been created. Maybe you missed that memo at some point, but it was there.

However, this isn't my problem so I'll let you two deal with it.

The second chest on the right side of the Corsair mob grinder collection point causes my game (and apparently others') to crash when clicking on it. I put a sign underneath it identifying it...not sure what is causing this but it happened 3 times in a row. The game just locks up and I have to force close it.

I found two more doing the same thing (both marked with signs). Could they be getting overloaded and causing the issue I've been seeing with lag?

If that is a rule then it should be posted just as it is posted for the rules of this server.

Server Rules:
We like to keep things simple, so we really only have 1 rule, don't mess with others stuff without their permission. Honestly though, it shouldn't be that hard to do, if you spend countless hours working on something, would you really want someone to screw it up?

TECHNICALLY corsair lake belongs to... well im not sure who, whoever put the boardwalk up to begin with... as for the whole building on water thing.. look the main lake is still there, that shop that was built, the hardware store i think, is on a little sub-water part... just like the church and the big red building are off by another little water thing.. they are more like little ponds now within the community... but the main lake has no buildings on it that i know of.

I think we should leave it as it is, why tear it down, it probably took that person a while to build it. no building within the main lake waterway though i agree, but as it stands now, it is what it is... the place is booming and thats what happens.

look at NYC, it was never as big as it is now, but people expanded and now its a major city... our little lake is going through the same phase, new buildings everyday and new tenants setting their roots.

Technically OC built the lake, hence why his home looks over the whole thing. He placed the initial walkways, so I would say he has the ability to veto builds.

Now... I don't see anything troubling from the dynamic map... so it may be a bit over zealous of him. But I would say technically he has the right...

For him to just say he is tearing down my building is not right. The only rule on the server is that we not destroy others work. If he wanted to have rules then he should have posted it.

it does not belong to anyone people, get a grip. i placed about a zillion stacks of wood and gravel in the chests for the walkway, and im not claiming anything.

also: the hardwarestore WAS built in the lake. there was a nice little bay there.
and as for the not destroying anything. i think we can scratch that, as every couple of days someone destroys something. like my underwater home under the lake, which someone destroyed at one point without asking.

it had a glass roof, so you could see parts of it, built it right at the very beginning of corsairlake. leaving your corsairlounge it was at the right corner of the boardwalk. oh well, im over it, just sucked that someone destroyed it back then.

babyblue, i love you. :)

I was not going to tear your buildings down, they did have a lot of work put into them and they do look nice.

What i would like you to do though, would be to have an exposed lower level where the lake used to be. Have it be a dock or something with pillars to support the buildings above.
something like a boat dock or the like.
I think that would look the best, maybe have stairs going around from the main boardwalk down into the lower level.

also, maybe add some windows to the back of the hardware store, maybe a balcony or so as currently it just looks like a big tall wall viewing it from a lot of the lake.

i remember that and i always wondered how to get to it!
I dont remember who, but i think it may have been taken out with the big sinkhole that was over in that area :-/

That was me who destroyed the sinkhole and underwater house. We made multiple posts here and asked around in game like crazy for a few days before doing it. No one answered the call, so we decided to go ahead with the demo. The main reason was because of the sinkhole.

Sorry mQ :(

Hey people come check out Icicle bay! /warp icicle
It has plenty of room for people to build and lots of undiscovered caverns.

meh, at least i still have my uber-secret room under the bridge :p

Not so uber-secret. ;) I found it while demoing the underground rooms. I also finished the floor of it for you. I was tempted to remove it, but decided against it at the last minute ;)

Just an FYI, the 1.6 update fixes fences not being able to catch fire. So whoever built the lava fountain in corsair lake, you'll want to fix that before the update! If those catch fire they may bring the whole boardwalk down!

Just got done building something at Icicle Bay, and after about 6,600 snowballs; The Icicle Bay Mining Station.

Exterior:

Interior:

Complete with storage for tools and ladders(stocked up with a couple hundred ladders, and a dozen or more stone shovels and picks), and a workshop upstairs with a bunch of furnaces and a couple workbenches. The tools and ladders are of course free for anyone to use, I'll try to keep an eye on it and make sure the chests don't stay emptied out. The mine right now is basically just a shaft down to Diamond level(bottoms out at about 12), I haven't really done any mining in it yet.

Will the update mess with signs/ladders and how they affect water/lava?

Just checked this out. Looks good! Way to stay in theme. :D

The boardwalk is safe from the menace of the lava fountain fence. I did end up tearing out the planks in the immediate area and placing sand back down, just in case, so keep your shovel away arr4ws! :D

Zexx, you're also not going to like 1.6;

* Fixed entities reaching water through wall corners

No more water elevators.

lmao, 1.6 patch aka anti-Zexx patch. Next there will be some kind of nerf to lava. :p :(

A few of the fixes are somewhat decent:

* Fixed loads of exploding tnt generating way too many particles, possibly crashing the client
* Fixed bonemeal use in multiplayer sometimes spawning fake client-side trees
* Fixed records not playing for other players in multiplayer
* Fixed entities above the map height limit becoming invisible
* Fixed creepers retaining charge level when they can’t see their target
* Fixed items in glass blocks not getting ejected properly <--- this one is a good one!
* Fixed water interacting strangely with glass

Just out of curiosity, have we thought of a hosting company instead of someone's private net connection or equipment?

Is there something preventing that? I would totally donate or set it up and take a recurring donation through Paypal to pay for it..
