Folding with a nvidia and AMD card at the same time?

Is this possible? If so is there a good guide on how to do this. Also do you think a Corsair CMPSU-430CX would be able to handle a 4850 1gb and a gt 240 folding at the same time? I'm running a x2 245 2.9GHz, 2GB ram.
 
Very possible to do, however most here will recommend against folding on the 4850......

I would suggest folding on the GT240 when its not in use, and use the 4850 for gaming/everything else...and then have the x2 set to fold as well (with the 4850 you need to use 1 core for the ATI card itself)...

To do it:
Have them both installed, meaning both drivers, then just setup two GPU clients.

Thank you. This is not my main machine so 24x7 use is possible. I heard the new client was better at folding with AMD cards. Should I use the v2 GPU Tracker or something else?

With 5x and 6x series cards, yes. However, 3x and 4x series cards will not be supported on the new core and support for 3x and 4x will disappear altogether by years end.

Oh thats sad. I always thought my 4850 could have been a good folder.

Sadly, it's a OpenCL limitation.. no fault of the developers. F@H, with the new core, requires full OpenCL 1.1 compatibility and the 4x cards are just not capable of this. Even back in 2009, AMD spokesperson Micah Villmow said that the HD4000 series was designed before OpenCL was fully spec'd, so its OpenCL performance would be limited. OpenCL 1.1 wasn't spec'd until 2010.
