Post your "rate my cables" here

CURRENT. Sleeved. Still putting things together:

I've still got more work to do, getting the cable secured and the modded case fully assembled. But so far so good! :D

The only sad thing about this great cabling job is that it ended up borking the PSU didn't it? (from the thread). Have you come up with another solution yet?

Yeah, didn't power up my system. Everything spun, lights on and what not, but no boot. No joy. Tango uniform. Tits up. Or....borked, as you put it. PSU tester says okay on the 24pin, so I'm thinking the issue lies elsewhere. I'll look into more later.

This is the first build that I have ever done where I really tried to make everything look nice. Normally I just cable it the easiest way possible regardless of how it looks. All I ever cared about was that it worked.

Bought me a fractal XL, and it was the best case I have ever worked with.

Very nice :) Dam you have alot of HD's I've got 1 SSD drive that's it...

No 1 is plenty for me........I do have an external HD drive though....

so then you're fairly limited in PSU choices no? unless you removed rivets holding that cage in.

I like the cleanness of the inside of the Fractal cases

I think I honestly have a lot of room for a larger PSU. And you can rotate the PSU so the fan is up or down.

You really have plenty of room to do just about anything. I cant complain about this case at all, but with one exception. Its a heavy SOB.

Nice job. Yeah my wires on the other side are a total mess I'm glad that side is not shown :)

This is my nine-hundred, i started painting it black. I need to finish painting some spot and the drives cages. I drilled a few holes for better cable management but its still somewhat messy.

The original Antec 900 was a nightmare for cable management I thought I was getting a sweet case until I started putting my stuff in it. For the 2 years I had that case I would bad mouth it every time I looked at it, then I decided to mod it and make some holes for the cables, I thought I put enough holes in it and soon realized it was a lost cause. I did have fun smashing the case up after I was done with it.

I wish ASUS made the P67 Sabertooth in an AMD format, I am seriously in love with that MB, Great job with doing what you can with the antec 900 above

+1
I just moved from a 900 r1 to a Fractal Designs R3. OH MAN what a difference a decent case makes. I'm in the middle of building, so pics will be up soon.

Im considering to change case too, and use the 900 as a NAS, but i have to find a case with a mild angular look, with a side window. maybe a 650D or Raven R01

Just transferred my rig from a Lian-Li PC-65b into a Fractal Design R3 "Black Pearl"

Yes, I know the heatsink is pointed the wrong direction. I can't do anything about it, the AMD mounting hardware for the heatsink is pretty crappy and doesn't allow rotation.

Rest assured, a new CPU heatsink is going to be my next upgrade... The rubber bits that are supposed to hold the fan are even starting to go on me, I had to employ a rubber band to keep one corner of the fan from sagging >_>

well then rate this.

I'm bummed when I actually put that back in my home server case it isn't half bad ..but I forgot to take a photo of the cable managements...meh.

well this is almost as good as i can figure out for my home sever (notable exception I really should pull the excess front panel connector cables up behind the 3.5 bays) i really like these case's (gigabyte Triton 180) exterior looks (nice and clean and professional) but the cable management options are not so hot.

no room for any cables behind mb tray...so short of getting modular psu instead i'm basically out of ideas fustrating as you simply can not turn the hard drives around and there is no room on the back side to speak of.... meh.

Sooooo.... how much for one of you to come fix my rats nest of a PC? haha I've tried time and time again to clean it up, but find a new way to fail every time. lol

Just wanted to say I like your idea on the fan controler.. Nice work

Those Antec 900s are probably one of the hardest cases to work with. I hated mine. Good idea with the case upgrade.

I agree. I built a PC for a friend and he insisted on the 900. It was difficult to do wire management. I vowed never to get one for myself.
