Hey guys, just wanted to compare some temps to see if I'm getting the proper performance out of my Hyper 212+ on a OC'd 2500K. If I'm way off I may need to re-apply the thermal paste to see if it helps. Thermal paste im using is Noctua NT-H1 and I just used the 3 line method between the cooper pipes on the bottom of the 212+ to apply it.
Ran Prime95 Blend test last night, Completed 451 Tests in 5hr 51min. 0 Warnings, 0 errors.
2500K OC'd to 4.8GHz (48x100) on 1.3v -set in bios, although HW Monitor Pro Shows a max of 1.33 for some reason. Used Real Temp and Core Temp to log.
Motherboard Temp
24C Min 26C Max
Low
27 30 28 26
High
70 76 77 72
Do the highs or temps in general look ok? From what I saw whenever Cores 2 and 3 got to 76/77 they didnt really stay at that temp long, maybe a split second then dropped back down to 72 or so. May have had something to do with heat kicking in during the middle of the night. Should I try lowering the vcore to help temps? I dont know if that would help at all, I am a little new to OC'ing Intel chips. Used to be an AMD guy... not anymore! .
