Zalman Performa on Sandy Bridge 1155

I bought a Zalman Performa for my 755 mobo last year. I want to upgrade to Sandy Bridge (LGA1155 socket). Will my Zalman fit on a Sandy Bridge motherboard without modification?

It says it can fit the first gen i7 motherboards, but it doesn't say anything about 1155 socket as I bought it well before Sandy Bridge was out... are the Sandy Bridge cooler fittings the same as the first gen i7 fittings?

No. They 1155 spacings are a bit closer together than the old 1366 ones. Only by a millimeter or two, though.
