PC-less operation: This is obviously a critical one that I've talked about a lot. XIM3 will be a stand-alone bus-powered device (plug and play). And (surely to cause controversy among some), it will not support gaming through a PC as an alternative. The PC is an inherently insecure environment with all sorts of compatibility issues when it comes to XIM. I hear about many issues customers have with XIM that would be fixed by simply removing the PC from the equation.
Smart configs: With Smart Configs you don't ever have to think about configurating the right settings for each game, it has already been done, with the work of Smart Translaters.
Which is where a computer has carefully analyzed the look mechanics in a game through the camera, and specifically works to get aiming as you would expect on the PC front.
To have a little peak in how incredible precision the XIM3 can do, check out this video: Smart Translators Demonstration.
Have an inside look in how the Smart Translators work, watch this video: Smart Translators Inside Look.
The acceleration is tweaked to the bare minimum: Acceleration Test.
Note: The speed and acceleration have been improved even further!
Input peripheral compatibility: Not only is it compatible with any mice and keyboards, but it also supports all joystick, throttles, rudder pedals, racing wheels and game pads devices such as Logitech G13, Razer/Belkin Nostromo, Sony Move Navigator and every other peripherals that comes to your mind.
Firmware upgradable: XIM3 will be firmware upgradable (unlike XFPS which requires you to buy a whole new unit to get fixes). You will never have to buy a new device every time a fix has been solved.
You only need to plug it into your computer and the XIMFlash will do its work. Just plug it in and in a click of a button you're done.
Xbox-only: PS3 is not officially supported, but you can get a converter to make it work for the PS3.
There are plenty of PS3 users on here using the XIM1 & XIM2 and one of the beta testers have confirmed the XIM3 works too.
There's several converters that works with XIM3, so I've picked out those by preferences.

If it's ever blocked by Sony theoretically the adapter would just need a firmware update and you're good to go.
From what I know it has only been tested on XIM1 and XIM2, but this should work with XIM3; since there's plenty of PS3 users on the XIM forum, they will confirm this shortly after launch, I bet.
Cheap, working PS3 converter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0042SB2I0/
Able to convert from Xbox 360 to PS2 and PS3; how well it will work on PS2 due to its different look mechanics I'm not sure, but it's been confirmed that this works perfectly on PS3 with XIM1 and XIM2.
Since it has an updates of 62/63 it should theoretically work with XIM3, but it's so cheap you may want to just buy one for the heck of it.
I would go as far as saying even XIM1 outperforms products such as XFPS/EEC/xScorch/MaxShooter.
If interested you can check the list for converters that works with XIM1: PS2-PS3 Working Adapters

Games with Smart Configs:

BFBC2
CoD4
CoDMW2
CoDWaW
CoD Black Ops
GoW2
Halo3
Halo Reach
L4D2
Monday Night Combat
Red Dead Redemption
This doesn't mean that you are only limited to these games, you can make your own custom configs to any other games, but there's nothing that beats Smart Configs.
Not long after the launch you will see Smart Configs for games such as:
Quake Arena Arcade (aka Quake III, Quake Arena)
Borderlands
Bioshock 1 & 2
Fallout 3 & New Vegas
GTAIV
Medal Of Honor
Unreal Tournament 3
Dead Space 2
Mass Effect 2 & 3
And many, many more.
Games titles will also be prioritized by the XBL's statistics.
Best regards,
The XIMers.
