Lowe's Real Organized Steel Freestanding Shelving Unit 45 dollars

Not trying to threadcrap (the metal ones can be best for durability/strength stuff like this) but they have the plastic version of these type of shelves lately in walmart/officemax/home depot for like $20-30 IIRC. Same purpose, cheaper material?

This is a great deal, plastic shelves would never take these abuse these things will. I have one in my office loaded down with easily 400 lbs of tools and miscellaneous stuff and it has never once felt anything less that absolutely sturdy.

I wish this worked for the black version or I would be on this.

True, metal will last forever (unless you live near the ocean :D)

RType, if you want a black one just get this one and then buy a can of decent black spray coat for cheap!

That is what I was thinking. I am going to do this to the ones I am picking up

Would spraypaint adhere well to the polished steel/chrome type finish these have? If you have to rough the finish on the unit for painting its definitely not worth the effort.

If you're a member Costco has some good (regular) prices on metal shelving as well. I believe their 36"x54" steel/chrome unit is usually under $30.

$45 for this 48"x74" size is the best I've seen though.

yeah I would not go to all of that trouble. I was just going to spray it down with some of the etching primer and then black

Got 2 of these in my house, they work great and easy as hell to setup/changeup. Snag if you need!

You can have a bladecenter sitting on the bottom shelf (which is not even touching the floor) a couple of sans on the second to bottom, etc, and these shelf's will perform. Have seen it too.

These things are extremely durable. We use tons of these at the restaurant I manage, loaded down with stock/appliances/tools for over ten years. We use them every holiday to store turkeys, loading ten 13-14 pound turkeys on each of the five shelves. I will probably pick up one or two for my workshop, thanks!

Id stay away from spray painting them.. it will break down quickly.

I have seen many painted and destroyed in weeks in restraunts and IT areas around work.

The black ones go on sale too..

I have black ones in my theater and the perform nicely. Chrome in the wood shop and in the kitchen. Wouldn't trade them for any other shelves.

Some douchebag at the store bought 30 of em. Probably for resale purposes.

You need to use the code at checkout to get the reduced price. Just got me one.

I Bought a set in Target for 50 bucks yesterday, except mine were black.

Neither.. Brand name was "room essentials".. We bought the 4' x 6' x 18" ones for 50 bucks.. Also got a 3' x 3' x 18" for 25 & a 2' x 30" x 14" for 15..

I did a barcode scan from my phone & it returned no results, but here is the target page for the brand (I believe its a target brand).. I Couldn't find the shelves on there though.. I also couldn't find the kitchen rack of the same brand that we bought last week so they are definitely missing some shit.

Targets webstore is outsourced to Amazon so it could be why there house brand stuff isn't well represented. I'll have to go check it out in store tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up

The NEATO code worked for me, but there's no option for In-store Pickup and they're adding $13 in shipping. ugh.

Are you guys able to get in-store pickup & no shipping?

I got in-store pick up. My local store had over 30 of them in stock.

I draped one of these (in black) over my RPTV 8 years ago to hold my HT components and last January lowered it and started using it to hold an LCD TV. Great buy for something you'll have forever.

In for 3 - great deal when a similar product from Home Depot costs $105 in my area.

Very nice, I may pick some of these up and ditch some super cheap plastic POS's I have.

Seems to be region based pricing. Kinda sucks...

Yeah, they are showing up 38% off for about $43 for me in WA. I'm folding and buying two, this will take care of all my aparment storage needs until such time as we get a house.

Thanks again OP

This deal is really good, we just bought the Safco brand from WB Mason with a castor set for over $400 dollars, for our server room. I wish I had know about these. Oh well not my money :D!
